7 Stree 2 dialogues that will make you re-watch Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao’s horror comedy

As a connoisseur of Hindi cinema who has witnessed countless films and their dialogues over the years, I must say that Stree 2, directed by Amar Kaushik, truly stands out as a masterpiece in modern Bollywood. The film’s success is not only attributed to its engaging storyline but also the clever, witty dialogues that left audiences in splits.

In 2018, director Amar Kaushik created a horror-comedy movie that was not only hugely successful but also left viewers eager for more. Due to popular demand, the filmmaker opted to produce the sequel featuring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. This second installment was released in theaters on August 15, 2024.

In a stunning turn of events, Street 2 surpassed all predictions, becoming the top-earning Hindi movie of 2024. Both critics and audiences were captivated, with many praising the compelling narrative, stellar performances, and dialogue that contributed significantly to its triumph.

Take a look at the 7 best dialogues from Amar Kaushik’s Stree 2:

1. “Waah, isko abhi ke abhi IAS ghooshit kardo.”

In the movie, Rajkummar Rao portrays Vicky and Pankaj Tripathi takes on the role of his brother figure, Rudra bhaiya. The character Jana, played by Abhishek Banerjee, adds humor to the storyline. As Sarkate’s plot unfolds in Chanderi, the three reunite to share information about the headless creature. This is when Jana comments, ‘Sarkate’s head has been cut off,’ which Rudra bhaiya sarcastically responds to and slaps Jana for his remark.

2. “Milti kahan hai tumhari ye sachi mohabbat?”

In Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank, another intriguing character is Bittu, portrayed by Aparshakti Khurana. Bittu doubts that his friend Vicky’s girlfriend is merely a figment of his imagination. This notion upsets Vicky, who insists she is his ‘real love.’ Since the woman isn’t often present, Bittu questions Vicky, “Where does your real love appear?

3. “Bhabhi bhaang khake aayi ho kya..Je Bachchan ke upar Aamir Khan laga lo toh bhi kamar tak hi aayenge uske”

In the hilarious sequel to Stree, I found myself once more in the role of the unlikely hero, Vicky. You might recall from the original film that I, in a twist worthy of a comic book, turned out to be none other than Superman, the chosen one destined to vanquish the terrifying female ghost and liberate my village from her chilling grip.

4. “Matlab Sarkata influencer hain…apne followers badhana chahta hain”

The conversation among Vicky, Rudra, Jana, and Bittu stands out as the funniest written for audience amusement. Whenever they strategize against the ghost, one of them always shares a peculiar observation. In this instance, Pankaj Tripathi’s character compares Sarkata to a social media sensation who is kidnapping townswomen to boost his follower count – a hilarious line from Stree 2 that had everyone in stitches.

5. “Ab lag rahe ho asli Rajkumar”

Following the chaos caused by Sarkata in Chanderi, Stree (portrayed by Shraddha Kapoor) mysteriously appears to aid Vicky and his group. She persuades Vicky that his pure spirit qualifies him to battle with the ghost. Therefore, she bestows upon him a mystical dagger, urging him to utilize it to decapitate Sarkata. In addition, they outfit Vicky in warrior attire, including a helmet, making Rudra bhaiya remark that he now resembles the ideal prince of the village.

6. “2 minute, aunty.”

When Sarkata abducts Bittu’s girlfriend, Chitti, the group of friends uncover a larger plot brewing within their village. After conducting some investigation, they learn about the vengeful spirit without a head, known as the ghost of Chanderi, who has returned to punish the forward-thinking women in the village. As time goes on, the friends come to understand that they will require Stree’s assistance in driving Sarkata out of their village.

Therefore, they managed to entice Jana back from Delhi because he was the one who could contact Stree since she had once possessed him. When Jana encounters the ghost, he becomes extremely distraught, which surprises his mother greatly. When she starts speaking incoherently, Vicky comforts her with a humorous dialogue, but it’s not just what he says that’s funny – the way he says it is hilarious!

7. “Usne ne hamari Chanderi ke sab mardo ki soch badal di hain.”

In my line of work as a lifestyle guide, I’ve come across fascinating tales, one of which is the chilling story of the Sarkata ghost. This phantom, you see, is none other than the vengeful spirit of Chandrabhan, a man who met his end at the hands of the spirit known as Stree. The twist? Stree was once a courtesan whom Chandrabhan had tragically taken from this world when she was still in her prime.

In Stree 2, the captivating narrative held viewers spellbound, and the numerous celebrity appearances throughout the movie only heightened the excitement surrounding it. As the gang searched for clues to vanquish the spirit, they unexpectedly wound up at a mental institution where they encountered a relative of Sarkata (portrayed by Akshay Kumar).

In the tale I’m involved with, I share news about an individual capable of vanquishing Sarkata. As events unfold in this cinematic journey, my companions extend an invitation to Shama – portrayed by Tamannaah Bhatia – for a vibrant dance spectacle, intended to entice Sarkata. Notably, Varun Dhawan joins the cast reprising his role as Bhaskar from the film “Bhediya”.
