Jesse Ventura Talked About How Saturday Night’s Main Event Will Differ From Traditional WWE Shows, And I’m So Damned Hyped

As a seasoned gamer with decades of wrestling fandom under my belt, let me tell you, I can hardly contain my excitement for the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event! With Jesse “The Body” Ventura back as host and commentator, it’s like stepping into a time machine straight to the golden age of wrestling.

I’m not finding any forthcoming WWE event that has me as excited as the comeback of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The main event match alone had me on edge, but learning Jesse Ventura will be back as a host made it even better. Now, with “The Body” himself dishing out info before the grand premiere, I’m beyond pumped after listening to his promo.

Ventura, once known for transitioning from professional wrestling to politics, has returned to WWE as part of the commentary team for Saturday Night’s Main Event. In a recent interview on The Bill Simmons Podcast, the former governor of Minnesota shared insights into what viewers can expect when they tune in, either on NBC or with their Peacock subscription. This upcoming event promises to be exciting!

The entire performance will hark back to its earlier days, which is what I’ve been informed. This implies it will appear similar to how it looked before. Instead of walking down the ramp, the wrestlers will enter through the crowd, just like they used to. That’s the reason I was brought back for this event.

I love the sound of that. No ramp walk or pyro. Just two superstars walking through the crowd to the ring with their music blaring in the stadium. It was an awesome vibe back when Saturday Night’s Main Event did it back then, and I can only imagine it’ll be even cooler now. Imagine security pushing through the crowd as Cody makes his way to the ring with the entire crowd singing “Kingdom” and then tell me that doesn’t sound badass.

It’s quite cool to imagine Jesse Ventura returning to the WWE, known for his unconventional wrestling attire. In the past, he was not directly involved with the company, but now he’s confirmed that he’ll have the freedom to express himself during commentary, suggesting a return to more open interactions.

Now that I’m free from any constraints, I can express whatever thoughts I have about anyone without hesitation. I’m absolutely thrilled about this newfound freedom! As for finances, I prefer not to discuss them, but rest assured, there will be four such instances where I can share my thoughts freely each year.

It’s likely there are certain rules in place, and Jesse Ventura probably won’t discuss his dislike for the film “American Sniper” publicly. However, since Ventura is known for being unpredictable, one might wonder if it’s wise to give him a live microphone on TV. Despite his eccentricities, WWE seems confident that he can maintain professionalism and will be featured as a commentator on NBC four times a year. I’m interested to see who else will join him in the commentary booth.

On Saturday night, you can look forward to a thrilling showdown between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed Championship, as well as Gunther defending his Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor. Additionally, Liv Morgan will defend her title against Iyo Sky. The evening will culminate in the crowning of the first Women’s United States Champion, so make sure to keep Saturday night free!

Don’t miss the debut of Saturday Night’s Main Event airing on NBC and Peacock this coming Saturday, December 14th, at 8:00 p.m. ET. Since TopMob made only a few inaccuracies in our Survivor Series predictions, make sure to join us for our forecasts for this major television spectacle.
