He explained that the role he auditioned for was quite minor in Kapoor and Sons. Looking back on not getting the part, he acknowledged it was tough to come to terms with rejection.

Nonetheless, Roshan admitted that the backing from those nearby kept him strong. He found, in times of adversity, he would always discover a task that sparked his enthusiasm once more, right as it seemed all hope was lost.
