Ah, what a joyous day it was, December 11, 2024! The wedding of Aaliyah Kashyap, my dear friend Anurag Kashyap’s daughter, to her longtime partner Shane Gregoire. I’ve known Anurag for years, from his early days in filmmaking, and I’ve always admired the passion he pours into his work.
11th December, 2024 marked a memorable occasion as Anurag Kashyap’s daughter, Aaliyah Kashyap, got married to her long-term partner, Shane Gregoire. Family members and friends graced the wedding with their presence. Snippets from the ceremony have been shared online, showing glimpses of the joyous event. In one instance, Aaliyah’s father could be seen grooving to the dhol beats, while another video captured Aaliyah and Shane becoming emotional during the religious ceremonies.
Anurag Kashyap has fully embraced and enjoyed the wedding of his daughter. A recent video shows him standing at the entrance of the wedding venue, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the groom’s procession. Dressed in an elegant traditional ivory attire, he could be seen dancing to the rhythm of the dhol drums.
At the event, Aarti Bajaj, Aaliyah Kashyap’s mom, presented the pooja thali to Shane Gregoire, while Anurag warmly embraced him in a lengthy hug.

In the heart of the ceremony, I had the privilege to witness some priceless moments unfold. As Aaliyah, graced by Khushi Kapoor among others as her bridesmaids, we posed for a beautiful photoshoot. Adorning a blush pink lehenga, she made an enchanting entrance veiled under the phoolon ki chaadar. The video captured the tender exchange of garlands (jaimala) and the delightful kiss shared between the newlyweds.
From the enchanting scenes of the wedding, I couldn’t help but be swept away as Aaliyah and Shane vowed to be each other’s for eternity, surrounded by their cherished family members.
