As a long-time fan of Science SARU and the beloved characters from DAN DA DAN, I am absolutely thrilled about UNIQLO’s upcoming UT T-shirt capsule! The collection perfectly captures the spirit of the series with its unique graphic imprints against stylish color backgrounds.
Excited by the popularity of “DAN DA DAN“, UNIQLO is set to unveil a new collection of UT T-shirts, featuring beloved characters and designs straight from the Science SARU animated series.
In February 2025, the UT T-shirt collection will be launched, offering four distinct graphic designs on black, gray, or white backdrops. The main poster visual of the anime adorns the black tee as a striking full-color image, showcasing Momo and Okarun amid occult and alien perils. Simultaneously, the gray tee showcases a subdued illustration of Okarun in his Turbo Granny transformation.
Regarding the two white t-shirts, they both have a more subtle design on the front, while the backs showcase vibrant color graphics. One version features a small embroidered patch with the “DAN DA DAN” Katakana characters in red and other colors on the front. In contrast, the back of this t-shirt displays Turbo Granny in her lucky cat form, which is the cutest mascot from the series, with large title letters overlaid.
To round things off, let me mention that the leftover white t-shirt features a mini chest pocket with “DAN DA DAN” Japanese text embroidered on it. The back of the shirt presents a scene featuring Okarun, Momo, and Aira along with Turbo Granny (in cat form) in front of big letters asking, “Do you believe in ghosts and aliens?” As an extra touch, the tagline of the anime is subtly included in small print below these characters.
1 T-shirt options from UNIQLO will cost ¥1,500 JPY (about $10 USD) each and are expected to hit stores in February 2025.
