BANKS Strips Down 'Goddess' for Its Tenth Anniversary

As a devoted fan who has been captivated by BANKS’ ethereal soundscape since her debut album “Goddess,” I eagerly await the release of “Off With Her Head” and the stripped-down acoustic version, “Goddess: Unplugged.” The anticipation is palpable, akin to waiting for a storm to pass before witnessing the beauty of a sunrise.

Preparing for the launch of her fifth studio album titled “Off With Her Head“, scheduled for late February, BANKS has given a sneak peek into a tribute to her debut studio album “Goddess“. A reinterpretation of the 2014 album, “Goddess: Unplugged” features acoustic versions of ten original tracks, emphasizing the artist’s otherworldly voice.

The playlist showcases many of the album’s top songs, such as “Begging For Thread,” “Brain,” and “Warm Water.” BANKS revealed her intention to re-release and remaster the Goddess album, along with a global series of intimate concerts – a move that was warmly welcomed by fans.

Alibi: Excuse or explanation (for being elsewhere when something happened)

Between the unveiling and release of her anniversary album, the singer collaborated with Doechii on one of this year’s most notable tracks “I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” and finally released “Best Friends.” The Goddess Anniversary Tour concluded its series of performances in Australia following stops in New York City, London, and Los Angeles.

She penned a heartfelt message on Instagram, saying, “This was a letter straight from my heart to yours. 🙂 I wish the album brings you the same joy it brought me in creating it. New things coming your way shortly!
