Pop Trading Company x JOURNAL STANDARD Present “Black Package” Capsule

As a fashion enthusiast who’s been around the block a few times (or rather, runways), I must say that the JOURNAL STANDARD x Pop Trading Company collaboration, titled “Black Package,” is nothing short of a sartorial masterpiece. The fusion of their distinct design philosophies has resulted in a collection that exudes a unique blend of grunge and sophistication – a look that’s right up my alley, having spent years navigating the concrete jungle while maintaining an air of polish.

Journal Standard is giving its unique, weathered touch to some new items created in collaboration with Pop Trading Company. In a collection called “Black Package,” the Japanese Journal Standard has blended its signature distressed aesthetic with Pop Trading Company’s classic, minimalist approach to tailoring.

As a dedicated admirer, I’d express it like this: Four extraordinary pieces, crafted through collective imagination, make up the capsule – a flight jacket, a hoodie, work pants, and a six-panel cap, all immersed in a faded black hue, each telling its unique story.

At the forefront is the Washed Black Flight Jacket made from heavyweight cotton canvas that’s been washed for a worn-in look. It boasts tape-styled pockets at the front, Thinsulate insulation with quilted lining, and distinctive Pop logos embroidered on. The jacket stands out with its contrasting white tape at the back and white embroidery on one side, not forgetting its large silver YKK zipper. Complementing this tailored jacket is the Washed Black Worker Pants, sharing the same tonal stitching and embroidery pattern.

The three-piece hoodie sports the word “Pop” centrally, accompanied by stylish brand logos that are delicately embroidered in tonal script. Completing this collection is a six-panel hat, featuring a felt “O” badge at the front and an embroidered logo at the back.
