World-renowned soccer player, Lionel Messi, has formally collaborated with Disney. The upcoming animated series named “Messi and the Titans” will soon air on Disney Channel and Disney+ after being acquired by Disney Branded Television.
The series, which had been in development since 2023, is now set to debut on both Disney Channel and Disney+ at an undisclosed time in the future. In a statement, Messi expressed his excitement about the series being acquired by Disney, stating that he’s long aspired to be part of a project that would instill the values of sports, values that have significantly contributed to his career, into younger generations. He believes that with teamwork, determination, discipline, and dedication, anything is possible. Messi looks forward to sharing this series with children worldwide, hoping it will inspire and motivate them to pursue their dreams. As a child, he’s always been captivated by animated series, and he eagerly anticipates watching the series alongside his own kids.
According to its official summary, this action-adventure animated series revolves around “Leo,” an average 12-year-old boy endowed with extraordinary abilities and a significant predicament. The world of Iko, once prosperous, is now in ruins due to the Giants who dominate the 10 realms. A single hero is needed to rescue them…and he’s as small as a flea. Leo, our young protagonist, is transported from another realm to spearhead the battle against the oppressive antagonists that have held the 10 realms captive.
