Pokemon Go sees the debut of Fidough as new global challenges unlock soon

As a seasoned trainer with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and nostalgia as we approach the Fidough Fetch event in Pokemon Go. The debut of the Puppy Pokémon and its evolution, Dachsbun, is a welcome addition to the AR game, reminding us all of Ash’s journey with his loyal companions.

Just as Ash relied on his companions during his adventure, you’ll need your fellow trainers for this forthcoming Pokemon Go event. From January 3rd to 7th, you can join the Fidough Fetch event, a new feature that introduces Puppy Pokémon and its evolution, Dachsbun, into the augmented reality game. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with others worldwide on Global Challenges, earning everyone an array of thrilling rewards.

During this Pokemon Go event, you’ll come across Fidough in the wild areas and can evolve it into Dachsbun using 50 pieces of Fidough Candy. However, there’s more! The main focus of this event are Global Challenges, where you’re asked to perform Nice Curveball Throws to unlock a series of rewards step by step.

As you conquer each obstacle, your rewards progressively improve: Initially, you’ll earn double Experience Points (XP) for capturing Pokémon, and later, you could potentially gain up to four times the XP and Stardust. Additionally, don’t forget to claim this month’s free rewards!

During this special event, you’ll see some beloved Pokémon popping up more frequently! Expect to run into Growlithe, Voltorb, Snubbull, Electrike, Lillipup, and Poochyena more often than usual. There’s also a chance that you might stumble upon their shimmering, rare shiny versions. If fortune smiles upon you, you might even come across the enigmatic Hisuian Growlithe and Greavard!

Participating in Event-focused Investigative missions offers rewards. By accomplishing these tasks, you’ll receive useful items such as Stardust and Poke Balls, plus encounters with event-specific Pokemon. Be sure to watch for Pokestop Highlights, where you can record some of the Pokemon you catch during the event. And don’t forget to explore the Pokemon Go Online Shop for special offers!
