League of Masters best synergies

As a seasoned player of League of Masters, I can wholeheartedly vouch for the effectiveness and versatility of the three comps presented here. Each one caters to different playstyles and strategies, ensuring that players have a range of options to suit their preferences and the specificities of each game.

If you recognize me, chances are you’re aware of my deep affection for the auto-chess genre. Upon encountering League of Masters, it appeared slightly distinct – indeed, it wasn’t Teamfight Tactics. Yet, I grew quite fond of it, and that’s why I’ve compiled three top-notch synergies in League of Masters that can aid you in your climb!

In League of Masters, when we discuss synergy, we refer to what truly makes a team successful – while individual units may possess decent traits or abilities, it’s the synergy that ultimately determines success. Here, too, victory can be easily achieved if you grasp this fundamental idea: build your team around a strong synergy and then adapt any necessary units into it -> conquer the game.

As a passionate enthusiast, let me share some effective combinations I’ve found success with in the world of [topic], and I’ll offer insights on how to execute each strategy:

What you need to know about League of Masters as an auto chess game

I have reached Grandmaster in Teamfight Tactics quite often, and that’s because I absolutely love games where it comes down to strategy alone (even though I have a deeply seeded love for gachas too). Even if you are a beginner in auto chess, you will find it fairly easy to adapt, and if you choose to follow this guide, you will also find that it’s going to be easier to win than you think!
To be fair, it is a pretty simple game – start a match, go with whichever units come, and try to constantly switch towards better and stronger ones. Just don’t forget to upgrade them.

Before we get started, I’ll break down the two terms the synergies are named after:

  • Vertical – a vertical team is a basic team that goes deep into a specific synergy. You see traits that activate when you have for example 2/4/6/8 units belonging to the same synergy in one team, and the idea is to use all of them to get the most out of that specific synergy.
  • Splash – a splash synergy is basically a synergy (let’s say 3 units) that can fit into many comps. As is the case for the one I mentioned in this guide, the Naga Splash revolves around the Naga synergy plus whichever other units come. In short, think of it as a flexible synergy.

Here you have the complete guide for the best synergies in League of Masters that I’ve mentioned:

Vertical Jinn  |  Vertical Ranger  |  Naga Splash

1 Vertical Jinn

One reason I find this competition appealing is its flexibility, as it lets you utilize any kind of item, be it AP or AD. Furthermore, the current strength of the Jinn trait significantly enhances its appeal, making it an overall favorable choice.

How to play this comp

Early on, you should play around with your lower-level Jinn units, until you get your 4 cost and legendaries on the board. Roll at 6 a little bit to stabilize then focus on leveling.

In the initial phases, it would be beneficial to maneuver your two Jinn Assassins, Cleanser and Liquidator, alongside a frontline setup. Pairing them with Guardians for synergy is ideal, but alternative strategies can work as well, until you deploy your units effectively.

When it comes to playing Three Assassins, Reaper stands out as the best option at level 9, but in the initial stages, it doesn’t matter much who you pick because what truly counts is activating the synergy to boost Cleanser and Liquidator.

At level 5, your team should look something like this:

Liquador, Cleanser, 2 Guardians, plus a third Assassin.

Based on the items you acquire, consider making Warden your primary carry and equipping him with AP (Ability Power) items instead. In place of a third Assassin, opt for another Mage character to maximize synergy between them.

Keeping the fundamentals at heart, simply progress by enhancing until you hit level 9. Engage with any opponent that appears first and employ strategies using the equipment and unit enhancements that yield the most effective results.

2 Vertical Ranger

This team setup is quite common and straightforward, offering simplicity in gameplay and adaptability. With this arrangement, you can accommodate numerous characters serving as main damage dealers. The quicker you trigger the Explorer ability, the more beneficial it becomes since the 4 gold per round can prove handy. You might choose to reuse this gold to reinforce your game board or use it to advance levels (which I’d suggest).

Another point I wanted to mention is that the competition requires AD (Attack Damage) items for it to function effectively. If you possess AP (Ability Power) items, I would advise against playing it.

How to play this comp

Early on, your 3 Giants should be Ice Spirit, Minotaur Shaman, and Juggernaut. Later swap Ice Spirit or Minotaur Shaman for Tree Giant – he’s not only a better unit overall (Legendary), but also activates the High Elf synergy which gives evasion chances.

For optimal performance, focus on having the characters Pathfinder and Wind Archer as your primary damage dealers. As for our tank, aim to acquire the Tree Giant character when possible.

Be sure to check the lobby for assassin players and move your backline units accordingly.

Here’s another strategy for playing this competition: You could use three Guardians in your team setup. I prefer this configuration because it provides an Order buff for magic damage reduction, along with a Physical shred from the Undead synergy. If the game room is dominated by magic attacks, this setup would be more advantageous.

3 Naga Splash

Among all the competitions in League of Masters, I have a clear preference for Naga Splash. It’s incredibly versatile – primarily it leans towards synergies with Naga, Guardian, or Order characters, but its strategies can adapt based on the cards you draw.

How to play this comp

Early on focus on getting the 3 Guardians synergy up to stabilize your board. Cleric plus Paladin will give you Ordeal synergy which is overpowered in lobbies where there’s a lot of magic damage. A 45% magic reduction to ALL fighters is just insane.

You can equip either AP or AD carries with the items you have, regardless of which ones you choose. For Medusa and Warden, feel free to arm them with your AP items. As for Wasp Lord, any AD/Tank items will do just fine.

Although this competition appears straightforward, I advise experienced players only due to its somewhat choppy progression and heavy emphasis on flexibility. The abundance of options could potentially divert your focus, leading to unfavorable results. Instead, remain adaptable and ready to adjust your strategy based on the specific circumstances and opponents in the lobby.
