For the start of the new year, PUMA GOLF is refreshing one of their essential golf shoe designs for the upcoming season: the IGNITE Elevate. Introduced last season as a spikeless performance model to complement their premium tour offerings, the IGNITE Elevate was designed for customers who value functionality and comfort without compromising on traction. This time, PUMA has subtly updated the IGNITE Elevate 2 and introduced a new design, the IGNITE Elevate X, into the collection.
Initially featuring four color schemes primarily based on neutral tones, the ELEVATE 2 draws inspiration from classic golf shoes through its TPU PWRSaddle and snug toe area. However, it adopts a sleeker appearance similar to a sneaker due to its streamlined midsole and blend of synthetic upper textures. The shoe’s performance is boosted by the IGNITE foam, which extends throughout the sole for a comfortable walk.
On the other hand, the ELEVATE X boasts a roomier toe area and sports the sleek design of a sneaker. Its color schemes lean towards the daring side. Notably, it features an EXOSHELL upper fortified with TPU film, as well as the FLOATPLATE shank that can be seen on both sides of the shoe. Interestingly, both models come equipped with a spikeless outsole boasting over 100 traction lugs.
Currently, the IGNITE ELEVATE X and its version 2 can be purchased from PUMA for $130 USD. In the future, they plan to introduce a TOUR model featuring interchangeable spikes.
