Last night’s episode of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was packed with surprising turns, but one disclosure in specific could potentially unravel the show’s most significant enigma. For the first time, we heard the voice of a mysterious character known as the Supervisor – a figure who controls every aspect of life on At Attin – during an announcement to the citizens of At Attin. The episode’s end credits unveiled that this enigmatic persona is portrayed by none other than the well-known British actor, comedian, and author, Stephen Fry.
In the play “Skeleton Crew“, the Supervisor was frequently hinted at, yet until now, this enigmatic government representative has neither appeared nor spoken. This is rather peculiar considering the questionable activities the children of the crew have been involved in, such as their departure from their home planet.
In episode seven, there’s a surprising moment as the Supervisor speaks for the first time, through what seems like an ordinary galaxy-wide announcement. As the Onyx Cinder nears At Attin, the Supervisor alerts its inhabitants that a Republic Emissary is coming with supplies, and they should halt all non-essential tasks until the cargo is unloaded. To those familiar with British TV and film, the voice of the Supervisor may sound familiar, as it’s provided by Fry – an actor whose career has been remarkably successful and diverse, spanning several decades and many cherished productions.
Fry, a versatile actor known for his roles in various film, stage, and TV productions spanning different genres such as the dystopian sci-fi “V for Vendetta” and Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” is now set to enter the “Star Wars” universe. It’s not yet certain if Fry will make a personal appearance in the final episode of “Skeleton Crew.” However, some astute viewers have detected hints that suggest Fry’s character, his Supervisor, might be something more than meets the eye, implying he could play a larger role in the season finale of “Skeleton Crew.
The True Identity of At Attin’s Supervisor
In the narrative of Skeleton Crew, another enigmatic character emerges: Tak Rennod, the renowned pirate captain and previous owner of the Onyx Cinder. Despite the fact that Rennod appears to be deceased, as his ship was discovered wrecked on At Attin with its captain nowhere to be found, the veracity of his death is questionable at best.
In one version, Rennod is portrayed as mysteriously vanishing, while SM-33, who isn’t always trustworthy, is the only character on record saying that Rennod has deceased. Moreover, episode seven unveils a significant turn of events: it appears the Onyx Cinder was originally an At Attin spaceship. It’s worth noting that according to folklore, Rennod was renowned for discovering the lost world of At Attin, something no other explorer had achieved. However, considering the origins of the Onyx Cinder, it seems much more plausible that Rennod himself was from At Attin, which would explain his ability to locate a place where others had repeatedly failed.
Since the Supervisor is the sole character whose physical appearance remains a mystery in the series, it makes the theory that he might be pirate captain Tak Rennod increasingly plausible. If this turns out to be true, it’s intriguing to think about what hidden agendas the Supervisor could have for continuing his role as At Attin’s enigmatic leader. These secrets will likely unravel in the upcoming final episode of Skeleton Crew season one, set to air next week on Disney+.
