With wildfires persistently burning through Los Angeles, organizers have planned a charity concert to aid the impacted neighborhoods.
The Intuit Dome is set to stage a charitable concert aimed at aiding communities affected by fires in Southern California. Dubbed “FireAid,” this event promises an evening filled with music and unity, happening on January 30th at the recently launched Inglewood venue. More details about performers and ticket sales will be shared soon.
The money raised from the concert will be used for a charitable organization established specifically for this event, aimed at rebuilding infrastructure, assisting families displaced by disasters, and improving fire safety technologies and methods to make Los Angeles more resilient against emergencies. The performance is being organized by Shelli, Irving, and the Azoff family, in partnership with Live Nation and AEG Presents.
The announcement follows a series of fires that have devastated parts of Los Angeles in the past few days, forcing thousands to flee from neighborhoods such as the Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Altadena, Pasadena, and other parts of the city, leaving entire communities in ruins.
Despite a packed schedule being temporarily put on hold, I’m eagerly anticipating the resumption of events later this month. The Intuit Dome concert, scheduled mere days before the Grammys in downtown L.A., promises an A-list roster of performers, as they descend upon the city for the highly anticipated awards weekend.
Prior to the performance, several groups are now gearing up to provide assistance, encompassing aid packages for first responders and entertainers affected by the natural catastrophe. For a comprehensive look at all the efforts, please refer to this list.
