Since her marriage to a financial analyst based in Los Angeles, Preity Zinta has been frequently traveling between India and the U.S. Recently, she posted an update on social media expressing her sadness over the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, assuring fans that she and her family are currently safe. She expressed surprise at witnessing the destructive fires that have impacted areas around their neighborhood in LA.
Preity Zinta posted on Twitter saying, “Friends and relatives are either leaving or are on high alert, whilehesitant ash falls from the smoky skies like snow. There’s a lot of fear and uncertainty about what might happen if the winds don’t settle down, with toddlers and elderly people among us.

She went on saying, “I’m deeply saddened by the destruction we see all around us, yet grateful that we are secure for now. My sympathies and prayers are with those who have been displaced and lost their possessions in these fires. I hope the wind subsides soon and the fires can be controlled. A heartfelt thank you to the fire department, firefighters, and everyone else working tirelessly to save lives and protect property. Stay safe, everyone.
On January 9th, Priyanka Chopra publicly acknowledged her gratitude towards the courageous first responders who have tirelessly aided those affected by the wildfires via social media. She posted an Instagram Story highlighting these responders as they fought against the destructive fires that have scorched thousands of acres of land.
Priyanka expressed her gratitude by saying, “I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the extraordinarily brave first responders. You’ve been tirelessly working all night and continue to help families in need. Kudos to you! #LASDHQ #LosAngelesFireDepartment #LAPDHQ
Back then, it was Priyanka who posted a video capturing the devastation of Los Angeles wildfire. And oh boy, did I feel a connection! Just yesterday, actress Nora Fatehi found herself fleeing California on January 9, much like me when my home town was under the same threat from those raging wildfires in LA.
On January 7, 2025, an immense wildfire erupted, causing more than 30,000 local inhabitants to leave their homes. Consequently, Governor Gavin Newsom of California announced a state of emergency in Los Angeles.
