Final Fantasy+ lets you play the classic original completely free on Apple Arcade

  • Final Fantasy+ makes the mobile adaptation of the iconic original available for free
  • Explore a world of adventure as the Four Warriors of Light and restore the Elemental Crystals
  • Enjoy a visually revamped experience with redesigned UI and more

Without much need for introduction, the popular gaming franchise Final Fantasy should be quite familiar. Spanning numerous platforms and versions, it includes a massively successful MMORPG too! It’s safe to say that this is Square Enix’s most renowned series, and now you can enjoy the original classic remade, at no cost on Apple Arcade!

Final Fantasy+ draws inspiration from the original Final Fantasy for the Nintendo Entertainment System, which was first released in 1987. The game earned its name due to a rumor that the team working on it might never release another game again. However, as we all know, legends can be misleading, and now the Final Fantasy series is one of the most successful RPG franchises globally, with several mobile spin-offs under its belt.

In the initial Final Fantasy game, you assume the characters of Four Luminaries of Light on a mission to reinstate the Elemental Crystals and, inevitably, save the world. The Apple Arcade iteration offers a facelift to the graphics, refined touchscreen controls, and various enhancements to provide a contemporary feel with a sleek, updated look.

What’s your job?

There’s little doubt in my mind that this new addition to the Apple Arcade library, being a part of the long-lasting Final Fantasy franchise, will undoubtedly be extremely popular. However, since it’s technically a remaster, there may be much discussion about its qualities relative to the original version. It should be noted that Final Fantasy already has multiple versions, so I’m certain many will welcome the fact that this one can stand independently, typography aside.

Regarding Final Fantasy, here’s something interesting: The popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is making its way onto mobile devices soon. Keep a watchful eye because if there’s any comeback as breathtaking as this one, we haven’t seen it yet!
