This unusual sight occurred during Wildcard Weekend, as the veteran broadcaster watched his favorite team, the Buffalo Bills, progress in the NFL playoffs. His excitement was palpable, leading him to post a photo marking the win. Consequently, everyone on the internet got a glimpse of the simple, vintage TV setup that he seems to have been using since cable news became continuous.

In 2024, Blitzer became well-known when he hastily left a restaurant to reach the newsroom as President Joe Biden announced the end of his re-election bid. Recently, Blitzer posted a photo showing him standing before a TV set at location X, which has garnered more attention online than Josh Allen’s recent performance for the Bills. It’s surprising to find out that despite Wolf Blitzer earning a substantial income from CNN for his work in the upcoming 2025 TV schedule and beyond, he still uses such old-fashioned electronics. The 32-inch flat screen television looks like one of the earliest models released, and it’s hard to believe that the Sony CD player and bulky DVD player beneath the TV are significantly more up-to-date.

How can such a prominent commentator in the world have a television that looks so incredibly old?
