Based in the Gulf region, Sigma Capital unveiled a $100 million investment fund dedicated to backing web3 industries, spanning from foundational blockchain technology to immersive metaverse environments.
Sigma Capital, a company that invests in new businesses at their early stages, has unveiled a $100 million investment fund to fuel advancements in web3 technology. Known as the “Sigma Capital Fund I”, this venture will concentrate on initiatives within decentralized finance, blockchain foundations, tokenization of real-world assets, gaming, and the metaverse, according to a statement released on January 14th.
Sigma Capital will also proactively oversee an investment portfolio comprising easily tradable tokens. They aim to capitalize on market fluctuations to consistently yield profits.

The company intends to allocate the fund by investing in 100 budding startups, 25 digital tokens currently available, and 10 other investment funds within the next three years. Additionally, they will employ high-yield tactics in decentralized finance to enhance the performance of this fund. Furthermore, they plan to invest in rapidly growing crypto venture funds that expand the fund’s reach into cutting-edge web3 advancements.
Vineet Budki, who holds the positions of CEO and managing partner at the company, will be in charge of the fund. Regarding this initiative, Budki expressed that the firm aims to develop a digital economy that is not only open and inclusive but also innovative. Furthermore, he stated that the UAE’s economy and regulatory landscape offer an ideal setting for the forthcoming surge of innovation within web3.
The company has yet to clarify its method for selecting startups, however, they intend to collaborate with web3 centers in ten global cities to provide market knowledge and assistance, as stated in the press release.
