Kate Middleton “Relieved” to Be in Remission After Battling Cancer

This year, Kate Middleton, also known as the Princess of Wales, has successfully recovered from cancer, a health issue she was previously diagnosed with.

After much speculation about the whereabouts of a member of the royal family between December 2023 and March 2024 due to extensive media coverage, Middleton ultimately posted on her and William’s social media platforms to reveal that she had been undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

Following a cautious resumption of several royal events over the past few months, such as the annual royal family Christmas gathering at Sandringham, Middleton announced on her Instagram yesterday that she has achieved remission.

I’m delighted to be in remission now and am committed to my healing process,” Middleton shared, accompanied by a photo of her with a chemotherapy patient. “As anyone who has gone through a cancer diagnosis can attest, it takes time to get accustomed to a different way of life. Yet, I’m excited about the promising year that lies ahead. There are many things to look forward to. Thank you for your ongoing support.

43-year-old mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, started her post by expressing gratitude towards The Royal Marsden Hospital for their exceptional care over the past year. She thanked everyone who had supported her and William during this time, saying they couldn’t have asked for better care. In her new role as co-patron of The Royal Marsden, she expressed her hope that through supporting innovative research, clinical excellence, promoting patient and family wellbeing, they could save more lives and improve the cancer experience for all affected. It is worth noting that King Charles has also been receiving treatment for cancer, which was confirmed by Buckingham Palace in February of last year, and he resumed his royal duties in April.
