Warner Bros. Discovery Adds IAC CEO Joey Levin, Anthony Noto to Board

Joey Levin, former CEO of IAC, and Anthony Noto, current CEO of SoFI Technologies, have recently been appointed to the board at Warner Bros. Discovery.

On January 8, Noto was appointed to the board, while Levin is slated to join in February. At the 2025 Annual Shareholders Meeting, both individuals will be nominated for election by the company’s shareholders.

Changes will be made following the declaration that Howl’s CEO, Li Haslett Chen, would leave the board on January 31st.

After the appointments, WBD’s board will include 13 directors, with 12 of them independent.

David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed delight in introducing two experienced professionals, Anthony and Joey, to the Board. Their extensive backgrounds in relevant sectors will provide us with invaluable knowledge and skills. Both are proven leaders who excel at fostering growth, innovation, and shareholder value, which we’re excited to leverage as we strive towards our strategic and operational goals. I’m eager to collaborate closely with them on our journey to maximize Warner Bros. Discovery’s potential,” said Zaslav.

Today’s declaration solidifies Warner Bros. Discovery’s dedication to strengthening our Board with top-tier professionals, offering a diverse set of experiences to our board, explained Samuel A. Di Piazza, Jr., chair of the Warner Bros. Discovery Board. We believe that Anthony and Joey will introduce innovative thoughts and valuable viewpoints to our Board as we explore various paths to create substantial shareholder value.

On Monday, it was revealed that Joey Levin will leave IAC following the separation of their home services platform, Angi. His new role will be as Executive Chairman at Angi, where he’ll work alongside CEO Jeff Kipp. Since 2015, Levin had been serving as CEO for IAC.

Since 2018, Noto has held the position of CEO at SoFI, a financial company. Prior to this role, he served as both the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Twitter. His professional background also includes working as co-head of Global TMT Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs and serving as the Chief Financial Officer for the National Football League from 2008 to 2010.
