Honda Revamps Logo For 2026 EV Line

At CES 2025, Honda showcased the “Zero Saloon” and “Zero SUV,” which are two electric vehicle prototypes from their 2026 Zero Series. In addition to these upcoming stylish models, Honda subtly announced its first significant logo modification since 1981.

The “0 Saloon” and “0 SUV” models sport a refreshed “H” logo on their hoods, making it broader and eliminating the border that surrounds the present emblem. Interestingly, this revamped logo seems to be a more streamlined adaptation of Honda’s original H logo from 1961.

From 1947 until 1969, Honda’s timeless wing logo, initially designed, adorned their vehicles in various forms. Then, in 1981, the recognizable, rounded square with a taller “H” was introduced and has been a consistent symbol for Honda ever since, remaining in use up to the present day.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2025, a modernized version of the “Honda” logo, featuring a sleek sans-serif design, was unveiled on a prototype vehicle. As Honda prepares to reveal more information about its upcoming electric vehicles, it’s expected that we’ll get a better glimpse of their new visual style in the near future.

On the other hand, Honda isn’t the sole automobile brand adjusting its brand identity for the electric vehicle (EV) transformation. Audi is changing its China-exclusive EVs from the traditional interlocked circle logo to a sleek “AUDI” word mark, and Jaguar recently underwent a significant rebranding effort, which has garnered both praise and criticism.

At the moment I’m writing this, Honda hasn’t announced a specific launch date for the 0 Series EV models yet, but it seems reasonable to anticipate that they will start distributing them in the year 2026.
