This ghostly sidekick of Doctor Strange isn’t just floating around for no reason.

Players earn a unique achievement when they complete an unanticipated interaction – conversing with Bats.

As a devoted admirer, I must confess, following the elusive trails of Batman isn’t always a walk in the park. Yet, the enchantment he weaves and the captivating tales that accompany him make every challenging step worthwhile.

This tutorial will show you how to locate the magical puppy, initiate an unsuspected conversation, and earn the “Bark of Achievement” titled “A Hounding Conversation”.

How To Find & Talk To Bats The Ghost Dog

If you’ve never encountered Bats before, let me fill you in: He was once Doctor Strange’s basset hound, and thanks to a spell cast by Strange, he gained the ability to talk.

Sadly, Bats perished following an encounter with Loki, yet mysteriously reappeared as a spirit and maintained a friendly bond with Strange.

To encounter Bats, you must first enter the Doom Match mode.

In this current setting, you’ll find the map for the Sanctum Sanctorum, and it’s here that you’ll encounter a spectral canine.

The special Doom Match mode is temporarily available, so jump right in during its activity period to boost your odds of discovering more Bats!

If you’re seeking a relaxed gaming experience free from other players’ involvement, you might want to try the Custom Game Mode instead.

At the Sanctum Sanctorum, you’re free from any concerns about conflicts, making it an excellent opportunity for exploring and encountering bats.

When in Doom Match mode, head to the Sanctum Sanctorum map.

In my excited exploration, I’ve stumbled upon a map teeming with enigmatic structures and gateways to realms unknown. Bats flit about in the grand entrance of what seems to be a sanctuary.

To reach him, proceed to the spacious room near the entrance, where you’ll come across a grand staircase and a famous portrait of Doctor Strange and his dog.

In this region, you’re likely to see bats either gliding or resting, and once you recognize the spot, identifying them becomes quite straightforward.

Instead of remaining stationary, bats often linger near the hallway close to the stairs or beneath a hanging portrait.

Bats can move around the entire main lobby, not just one corner of the map.

Most of the time, you’ll find him near the stairs or around furniture like sofas and lamp tables.

He might occasionally pause to lie down, but he usually floats around the room.

If you keep failing, try again after being defeated; it could bring you nearer to him.

And for the second part of your request:

Now comes the challenging task—communication with Bats.

Now, we face the difficult task of talking to bats.

A dialogue can only commence if there’s a prompt for interaction, and this particular dog only communicates with specific individuals.

To get him to share more about himself, try choosing one of these four personalities: Spiderman, Squirrelgirl, Thor, or Jeff the Sea Monster.

Only these specific characters can trigger a conversation with Bats if they get close.

Feel free to casually walk about the room accompanied by one of these characters, and before long, you’ll hear Bats starting to talk. Don’t fret if it takes a moment for them to get started.

It’s surprising that despite Doctor Strange typically interacting with creatures like bats, he doesn’t initiate a conversation with the dog instead.

You’ll earn the “Masterful Dialogue” achievement once you manage to engage in the conversation effectively.

The good news is that you don’t need to finish the match to earn the achievement.

Once the convo happens, you can dip from the match, and the achievement will still count.

After leaving the game, you’ll be notified about any accomplishments you’ve earned, which you can then claim from the Achievements area within the main menu.
