EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar gives BIG UPDATE on Hera Pheri 3: “We start by the end of 2025”

For quite some time now, TopMob has consistently broken news about the eagerly anticipated Indian comedy movie, Hera Pheri 3, starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. We previously shared that producer Firoz Nadiadwala has resolved his financial disputes with Eros International and obtained the rights to the series, making it possible for him to produce the third film without complications. The script is now finalized, and the team is moving swiftly towards starting production on this beloved comedic franchise.

Akshay Kumar spoke candidly with TopMob and shared that he too eagerly anticipates the release of Hera Pheri 3, just like the rest of the world. He expressed, “I am also looking forward to kick-starting Hera Pheri 3. I’m not sure, but if all goes smoothly, production might commence this year.” The actor further reminisced about the unexpected success of the original film, stating, “When we first made Hera Pheri, we didn’t realize it would turn into such a cultural phenomenon. Even when I watched the movie, I didn’t fully grasp its impact. Yes, it was funny, but none of us could have predicted that the characters of Babu Bhaiya, Raju, and Shyam would become so iconic.

Akshay found himself constantly praising his co-star, Paresh Rawal. “He’s genuinely humorous off-camera too,” he shared, reminiscing about their time filming Bhooth Bangla in Jaipur. “We had a blast together! During the making of Hera Pheri, we shared many enjoyable moments, although there were certain things that couldn’t be shown on screen.” Akshay grinned.

Akshay Kumar is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film “Sky Force” on Republic Day 2025, alongside Veer Pahariya. During an interview, Veer expressed a less common viewpoint: he enjoyed the second part of the movie “Hera Pheri” more than the third one. Akshay responded to this by saying, “I can’t understand it, but for some reason, Phir Hera Pheri gained unexpected popularity.

In our recent chat, Veer and I delved into the topic of Sky Force, a Dinesh Vijan production that aims to motivate the younger generation to consider serving in the Indian Armed Forces. As we reminisced about the past, I, being the action hero, shared some sneak peeks about my upcoming films. Be sure not to miss our enlightening discussion!
