As a dedicated follower, I recently had the privilege of participating in an exclusive chat with Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, just before the release of their new film, Sky Force. In this conversation, Akshay shared some fascinating insights about his career, including how his role in Jaani Dushman unexpectedly expanded without any prior planning. He also humorously addressed the popular “behen darr gayi” meme that has become synonymous with his acting style. What a thrilling experience it was to be part of this conversation and gain a deeper understanding of one of Bollywood’s most beloved stars!
In a private conversation with TopMob, Akshay Kumar reminisced about his critically acclaimed movie, Jaani Dushman.
He recounted an intriguing story, reminiscing, “In that movie, Armaan Kohli played the role of a snake and killed me. I died afterward. At the time, I was working on a daily basis, and I wanted to purchase a flat. I needed funds, so without much ado, I approached director Rajkumar Kohli and said, ‘My work has come to an end now.’ He replied, ‘Yes, but you seem quite worried.’
Kumar went on to explain, “I learned that one of the actors wasn’t available on their scheduled date. So, I asked him if I could return later.

However, Kohli retorted, “It seems you have passed away,” and later added, “Five minutes later, he thinks, ‘I’ll make you understand my words in a coma state, return when you can’.
Then, in the movie, they discover I’m in a coma rather than dead. After waking up once more, I engage in another battle with someone. As a result of these five days of fighting, I earned an additional five days pay. That’s how I landed such a significant role in Jaani Dushman,” he elaborated.
Beyond that, he too responded to the viral “Behn darr gayi” meme from Bhagam Bhaag. Swiftly acknowledging it, the Sky Force actor stated, “You simply can’t script or replicate this.
He explained the motivation for the dialogue by saying, “In reality, one of my friends attempted to flirt with a girl at a wedding, trying to grab her, and she shouted ‘And I got scared…I got scared, sister is scared, sister is scared,’ which then transformed into ‘I got scared, big sister is scared.'” This scene was what actually took place.
Sky Force is releasing on January 24, 2025.
