As a devoted admirer, I’m sharing this news about me, Varun Kulkarni – a familiar face in many films, including Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. Unfortunately, I’m currently battling some serious kidney issues at a hospital in Mumbai. My dear friend, Roshan Shetty, has shared an update on my health situation through social media and kindly asked for financial support from friends like you and fellow fans during these challenging times.
She posted several images showing her friend and fellow theater artist, Varun Kulkarni, in a hospital bed receiving dialysis treatment. In her post, she mentioned that Varun is currently fighting serious kidney problems. Although attempts were made earlier to gather funds for his medical expenses, the costs keep rising. He needs dialysis sessions about 2-3 times a week, as well as regular medical attention and unexpected hospital visits. Scarcely two days ago, Varun was urgently taken to the hospital for an emergency dialysis procedure.
Additionally, he mentioned that Varun isn’t just a gifted artist, but also a kind-hearted and selfless individual. After tragically losing his parents as a child, he has consistently been self-reliant, following his dreams in theatre despite encountering numerous obstacles. Yet, he admitted that the life of an artist frequently brings financial hardships, and at this difficult period, Varun requires help more than anything else.
To assist Varun during his challenging situation, Shetty shared that a group of friends and well-wishers are uniting to offer support. He added that those who have a personal connection with Varun or Rhea can send their contributions directly to them. For everyone else, a Ketto link (details in the description) has been made available for convenient donations.
Every bit of support you provide is significant in helping us achieve our goal. Sharing this message can also extend our reach and attract more people willing to assist. Let’s unite to help Varun return to the stage, his rightful place.
After Shetty posted about it, friends and supporters started sending prayers for Varun’s swift recovery and even donated funds towards his treatment.
In addition to Dunki, Varun has also appeared in shows such as Scam 1992 and The Family Man.
