The increase in cheating, especially on PC, has quickly become a major issue.

Dishonest players often take advantage of the adjustable features of personal computer hardware, creating an unbalanced playing field against console gamers who don’t have the same level of customization options.

Due to the criticism Black Ops 6 has faced regarding cheating concerns in its Ranked Matches, disabling the crossplay feature within the game is a beneficial adjustment that helps ensure fairer and more balanced matches.

In Ranked Play now, you have the option to disable cross-platform matchmaking, so console gamers will no longer be paired up with PC players by default.

In this latest update, we’re prioritizing Ranked Play, the area where fairness is paramount and cheating has been a significant issue compared to casual play.

Initially, it was confirmed that Treyarch and Activision are making advancements, but they’ve specified that the crossplay option won’t be enabled in all game modes right away.

The developers are proceeding cautiously, watching how this new feature performs within the game and among players. They may decide to introduce it in additional gameplay modes later on.

The crossplay toggle is part of the wider update coming to Black Ops 6 in Season 2.

The team is taking strong actions to prevent cheating, which is a significant problem in Ranked Play and Warzone.

The advanced version of Call of Duty’s Ricochet anti-cheat system is being significantly improved to effectively detect and prevent the use of aimbots and other common cheats.

With tweaks on both ends, the system has a much tougher defense against the troublemakers.
