A significant portion of Drought’s designs are influenced by nostalgia, taking cues from technology’s early era to reinvent a line of household items and accessories. Last year, the design group delved into the internet’s golden age with a fresh Napster collaboration, offering a bag, a candle, and a bracelet that mirrored the platform’s user interface. Following the successful launch and sell-out of its Apple-inspired iMirror in August, Drought is reintroducing this sought-after item for a limited restock.
Standing at a height of five feet, this design modeled after the iPod Nano serves as a full-length mirror. Available in six color options – blue, green, silver, red, pink, and purple – it mimics the layout of Apple’s former portable media player that is no longer in production. This product can be purchased for $375 USD. The circular remote control at its base remains in its traditional white hue, with the function on the remote now labeled as “Drought.” Each color variant plays a song titled “Find Yourself,” while the screen’s top displays “Now Living” and the backside shows “iReflect” together with Drought’s logo.
On Friday, January 24, at 12 p.m. PST, I can’t wait to get a peek at the Drought iMirror, which is currently on display. A limited edition of 200 units will be up for grabs on Drought’s official website, with no password required! So mark your calendars and get ready to add this amazing piece to your collection!
