The schedule for the SXSW Film and Television Festival has been unveiled, featuring upcoming projects by Seth Rogen, Ben Affleck, Jenn Ortega, and Nicole Kidman that will make their debut at the Austin event.
The Hollywood comedy series titled “The Studio” by Rogen and Evan Goldberg will debut at SXSW, opening the television screenings. In this show, Rogen plays the role of a newly appointed studio head who, along with his team of executives, grapples with the challenge of making their movies relevant amidst the studio’s struggles.

In addition to Affleck’s upcoming film “The Accountant 2,” which continues the story of a CPA who works with criminal groups, the lineup also includes “Death of a Unicorn” from A24, a movie starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega as a father-daughter duo who encounter a unicorn. Also on the list are “Ash,” directed by Flying Lotus, “Drop,” Christopher Landon’s newest project for Blumhouse, and “Holland,” Mimi Cave’s latest film featuring Nicole Kidman, all of which will be screened at the festival.
In the television debut segment, you’ll find Ramy Youssef’s animated sitcom titled “#1 Happy Family USA”, Dennis Quaid leads the serial killer series “Happy Face”, and “Government Cheese” featuring David Oyelowo is premiering on Apple TV.
Yesterday’s announcement unveiled the lineup, following SXSW’s disclosure of their new batch of keynote presenters. Among these distinguished figures are Alan Bergman, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, Jay Graber, CEO of Bluesky, and John Fogerty, along with others.
SXSW will take place in Austin from March 7 to March 14.
