Conor McGregor Explains Why A Fight With Logan Paul Will Likely Never Happen, And Points A Finger At His Would-Be Opponent

It’s clear that the Paul brothers excel at creating buzz around fights, with Jake Paul’s match against Mike Tyson still a hot topic and causing debate over its authenticity. Interestingly, despite this, Floyd Mayweather appears to have overlooked the fact that it was Logan Paul who first initiated such attention-grabbing events. Currently, Jake Paul has proposed a high-stakes fight with Conor McGregor in India, worth $250 million, but McGregor himself suggests that Jake might be partially responsible for why this potential bout may not materialize.

During breaks for photos with the Paul Brothers, McGregor discussed the unconfirmed India boxing match with The Schmo. Although Logan Paul has been promoting the event in interviews, McGregor provided a less optimistic outlook, stating that his employer remains unsupportive of the plan.

Amidst photo sessions with the Paul Brothers, McGregor shared thoughts on the India boxing event rumors with The Schmo. Despite Logan Paul’s persistent promotion in interviews, McGregor expressed doubts about its occurrence, citing his employer’s reluctance to back the idea.

The situation is as it stands; the UFC simply aren’t interested in the offer we made. Both athletes have acknowledged that he isn’t a fighter, but they’re ready to move forward under the TKO banner. Despite the rising popularity of both the UFC and WWE, their involvement seems uncertain. The stock price for TKO Holding Group is soaring high due to a new, thriving market in India. It was a smart business decision to arrange the match, or perhaps I should say, the more formalized sparring session, especially considering the timing on the calendar. Yet, the UFC have expressed disinterest and I’m unsure about the WWE’s intentions as well.

It’s hardly unexpected that the UFC might not be thrilled about Conor McGregor facing Logan Paul in a boxing match. Firstly, they primarily operate within MMA, not boxing. Secondly, size-wise, McGregor, at 5’8 and 155 pounds, would be dwarfed by Paul, who stands 6’2 and weighs 181 pounds. This is significant because the Paul brothers have shown that they can exploit UFC fighters when they’re forced to rely on boxing instead of their MMA abilities, as demonstrated by Ben Askren, Anderson Silva, and Tyrone Woodley. In essence, it seems unlikely that the UFC wants another one of its former champions possibly losing to a Paul brother in a ring.

McGregor appears unfazed by the fight challenge, and it’s likely that the substantial earnings potential for each fighter is a factor. However, McGregor believes that if Logan Paul had been more vocal about promoting the fight within the UFC and TKO Holdings, there might have been a different outcome. Given Paul’s rising fame in WWE and his drink brand Prime being a significant advertiser for both companies, he may have some influence in the corporation. Nonetheless, McGregor claims that his opponent hasn’t made any efforts to arrange the matchup.

[Logan] remained silent, not uttering a word. I found myself saying, “Friend, you need to speak up. You need to voice your thoughts.” I wasn’t addressing him personally. Instead, I was speaking to the audience, which happened to be the Ambani royal family of India. They were forwarding this message to him. Essentially, I was trying to encourage him to take action. I had no qualms about doing so, and I likely would have done it regardless.

Is it possible that Logan Paul is avoiding a fight with Conor McGregor? While it’s uncertain, his busy schedule with upcoming WWE events might be the reason. It appears he may participate in some of these Premium Live Events in the coming months, which could keep him from engaging in any fights until at least WrestleMania 41 concludes.

The intriguing aspect of this story is that the initial dispute originated from a rivalry between Jake Paul and Conor McGregor, where the fighter declared his intention to confront Jake. Interestingly, Logan Paul once spoke up for McGregor, criticizing his brother for attacking McGregor’s wife. At one point, it appeared as though he was against his brother engaging with the former UFC champion. However, I find myself wondering what led to this shift in opinion, as he is now contemplating a fight against McGregor in India.

For now, Conor McGregor seems uncertain, but the anticipated match with Logan Paul is on hold. We can only keep our fingers crossed that an announcement will be made eventually. Given their history of pulling off seemingly impossible fights, it’s still possible this one might go ahead.
