I’m absolutely thrilled about a comedy coming out this week on the 2025 movie schedule – it’s titled “You’re Cordially Invited” and stars Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell for their first-ever collaboration! I can barely contain my excitement to see these hilarious actors sharing the screen together. To add fuel to the fire, they’ve been promoting their Amazon Prime-exclusive film by dancing like TikTokers, which is something I never saw coming!
This week wasn’t exactly what I expected, but the video of Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon dancing to Lola Young’s “Messy” was absolutely fantastic! Give it a watch if you haven’t seen it yet.

Let me clarify my point: These two, notably Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell, displayed quite a difference in their dance performances in that video. While Reese dived headfirst into the choreography, Ferrell seemed to be struggling to get through it. It’s fascinating to consider how dancing for camera has become part of promotional tours, something they likely didn’t anticipate in the ’90s and ’00s. However, these comedy legends are setting an example with their impressive dance skills, as demonstrated in this video, which went viral last summer for the Twisters cast during their press tour as well.

“Willerspoon” is amazing. While I wouldn’t necessarily have put these two together on my own, now that they are sharing the same air for You’re Cordially Invited, I think it’s genius. The actors have been hyping up their new movie lately ahead of its release on Friday, January 31, and seeing this video only makes me want to see it more.

I find myself pondering whether this story might unexpectedly turn into a romantic comedy, or if it will strictly remain a zany comedy. Regardless of the genre, I’m looking forward to seeing these talented actors create havoc on screen, and I’ll be content either way.
