In response to one of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s most severe personal criticisms so far, his cousin Caroline Kennedy has written a letter to legislators prior to the upcoming confirmation hearings for his role as Health and Human Services secretary.
The letter, initially acquired by The Washington Post and subsequently shared on Jack Schlossberg’s X account in a video format, alleges that Robert is addicted to attention and power, and has financially benefited from his anti-vaccination activism. However, it also claims that he ironically vaccinates his own children despite publicly criticizing vaccinations.
Caroline pens, “Bobby and I are lifelong acquaintances; we shared our childhood years. It’s not surprising at all that he owns birds of prey as pets, given his own predatory nature.
Caroline shares that her cousin, who is candid about his previous heroin use, has influenced other relatives towards substance abuse issues, leading them “towards a road of drug dependency.
She describes that his basement, garage, and dorm room were bustling areas where drugs could be found, and he would proudly demonstrate his unusual habit of blending baby chickens and mice to feed his hawks. These scenes were frequently disturbing, combining elements of perversion, despair, and violence.
Caroline remarks that “Bobby’s encouragement led his relatives into a path of substance abuse. Unfortunately, they struggled with addiction, sickness, and even death, while Bobby himself has continued to deceive, falsify information, and act dishonestly throughout his life.
Kennedy, who’s campaigning under the banner “America Healthy Once More,” may lose up to three votes from Republican legislators during his confirmation. Some GOP representatives, such as Senators Bill Cassidy and Mitch McConnell, have voiced reservations about Kennedy’s stance on abortion rights (which he supports) and vaccines (on which he’s not in favor, a position that contradicts McConnell’s views, given his history as a polio survivor).
The traditionally pro-Trump New York Post, known for aligning with his policies, published an uncommon op-ed criticizing the president’s selection of Kennedy as HHS head in November. This week, they have further intensified their opposition, labeling him in a recent editorial as a “radical left-leaning extremist,” accusing him of being anti-energy, a heavy taxer, and incomprehensible about our nation’s health.
Ambassador Caroline Kennedy recently wrote a letter to the U.S. Senate’s Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, expressing her pride in her brave mother, who has led a life characterized by dignity, in support of her son Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination as HHS Secretary.

Kennedy and his wife, Cheryl Hines, shared their thoughts with The Hollywood Reporter in a cover story exactly a year ago during the time when he was campaigning as an independent candidate for president.
Kennedy states in the article, “I spend a lot of time with my family.” He recently returned from a 10-day ski trip with his entire family, including Cheryl. Growing up, our family was encouraged to debate fiercely but still hold love for one another. I believe that my family cares about me deeply. My family consists of 105 members, many of whom are backing my campaign enthusiastically. There are a few who have criticized me, and that’s acceptable.
Kennedy’s confirmation hearings begin tomorrow at 7 a.m. PT and air live on C-Span.
