Billie Eilish Sings “Birds of a Feather” in California Mountains During Grammys Performance

At the 2025 Grammys, Billie Eilish gave an emotional rendition of “Birds of a Feather,” subtly nodding to her hometown, Los Angeles in her performance.

The Grammy-winning artist kicked off her concert, joining forces with her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas, against a backdrop of picturesque mountains reminiscent of her hometown’s canyons. During their opening act, snapshots of the sibling duo were displayed on the screen as she powerfully sang the words to the song that earned three distinct nominations.

At the close of her opening performance at the 2025 Grammys, Billie Eilish expressed her affection for Los Angeles, a city she had recently honored during the FireAid wildfire benefit concert just a few days prior. There, she continued to show her support for L.A., which was struggling with the destructive wildfires at that time.

Eilish amassed seven Grammy nominations, encompassing categories like Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Birds of a Feather”, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her duet with Charli XCX titled “Guess”, and the prestigious Album of the Year category for “Hit Me Hard and Soft“.

Following its release, Hit Me Hard and Soft entered the Billboard 200 chart at the second spot. Remarkably, each of the album’s ten tracks made it into the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Specifically, the song “Lunch” debuted at the fifth position, which is the highest initial placement on the Hot 100 for Eilish.

Eilish joined a group of artists such as Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, Shakira, Benson Boone, Doechii, RAYE, and Teddy Swims who took the stage on Sunday night.
