Grammys 2025: The Night’s Best-Dressed Artists Stun on the Red Carpet

Apart from a single instance that seemed extravagant on the 2025 Grammy’s red carpet, the style for the night followed predictable trends, as numerous artists chose streamlined outfits predominantly in black to convey a subdued atmosphere that appeared respectful following the tragic effects of the Los Angeles wildfires.

The term “Over the top” often fits perfectly when describing the Grammys red-carpet fashion, and this was certainly the case with several artists who stayed true to their unique styles. Chappell Roan, for instance, maintained her campy-vintage look by donning a voluminous vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown from 2003, adorned with Degas ballerina screen prints on the skirt and completed with an ostrich-feather headdress similar to the one used in that original collection. On the other hand, Kacey Musgraves showcased her country heritage by incorporating a single detail into her Ralph Lauren outfit: an artistic belt created through a collaboration between Lauren, Navajo silversmith Jimmy Begay, Jr., and the Shiprock Santa Fe Gallery.

Prior to the 2025 Grammys

Taylor Swift in Vivienne Westwood

2024 Grammy Awards saw Taylor Swift nominated for six awards, and she continued her style collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, donning a sequined red draped gown following her 2024 appearance in a white corset dress from the same label. Jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz was also back on board, creating custom pieces adorned with over 60 carats of rubies – earrings, a ring, and another ring featuring a natural spinel. The standout piece was a leg chain with a jeweled “T” pendant. This eye-catching ensemble sparked excitement among fans who debated if the red color was a reference to boyfriend Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs jersey, ahead of Super Bowl LIX on February 9th, and whether the “T” represented Taylor or Travis. The look was completed with sandals from Casadei.

Cardi B in Roberto Cavalli

Cardi B made an unforgettable impression on the red carpet, wearing a one-of-a-kind Roberto Cavalli gown featuring tiger stripes. Designer Fausto Puglisi added a touch of glamour with hand-embroidered sequins and cascading feathers in various colors, while the strategically placed shoulder straps also caught the eye. Cardi B completed her look with Le Vian’s Chocolate Swirl earrings.

Willow Smith in McQueen and Fleur du Mal

At the 2025 Grammys, Willow Smith dazzled as a fashion icon, and it’s hard to disagree with that assessment. Her style was an alluring blend of sophistication and glamour, achieved by pairing a coat from McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2024 collection with one-of-a-kind lingerie adorned with intricate rhinestone embellishments by Fleur du Mal.

Lady Gaga in Vivienne Westwood

At the culmination of the 2025 Grammy’s grand entrance, Lady Gaga appeared as a formidable warrior-princess in her laced and corseted Vivienne Westwood dress. For those who witnessed the Mastercard-endorsed commercial airing “Abracadabra” from her new album, Mayhem, this style aligns perfectly with the upcoming release slated for March 7.

Consistent with her tradition of adorning significant Tiffany & Co. jewels on red-carpet occasions, Gaga also donned a particularly unique necklace from the jewelry house. This exquisite piece, originating from the early 1930s, was designed by Meta Overbeck who worked for Louis Comfort Tiffany himself during the dawn of the 20th century. The necklace showcases a tourmaline encased in gold and embellished with pearls and enamels. To match, she wore earrings adorned with yellow and white diamonds and a Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany & Co. Sixteen Stone ring accentuating diamonds and tsavorites.

Sabrina Carpenter in J.W. Anderson

In a soft, pastel blue satin dress embellished with feathers, Sabrina Carpenter’s style on the red carpet was unquestionably youthful and feminine. The most striking feature of her J.W. Anderson gown was its low-cut back, which provided an ideal view of a stunning Chopard diamond sautoir necklace. This necklace was threaded through the halter neckline at the front and draped down the back, culminating in a pendant boasting a 50-carat, flawless, brilliant-cut diamond. Sabrina Carpenter accessorized this look with diamond earrings and a ring from Chopard’s Haute Joaillerie collection as well.

Miley Cyrus in Saint Laurent

At the 2025 Grammys, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga popularized fringes as a significant beauty trend. On the night of the music industry’s biggest event, Cyrus showcased her signature sleek and sexy style by wearing a cut-out leather dress from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. The dress was complemented by Salomé wedge sandals in satin crepe and leather made by the same designer. To complete her look, Cyrus accessorized with a collection of yellow gold jewels designed by Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co.

Doechii in Thom Browne

Thom Browne’s style is unique, characterized by crispness, slimness, and precision. At the 2025 Grammys, this label perfectly adorned Doechii. The winner of the best rap album donned a custom wool corset dress in dark grey pinstripes, embellished with oversized hips and tricolor lacing, layered over a classic white oxford shirt, a grey pinstripe wool tie, and platform penny loafers – all signature Thom Browne pieces. To complete the look, Doechii accessorized with diamonds by David Yurman and Messika.

Gracie Abrams in Chanel

At the 2025 Grammys, Gracie Abrams was nominated for best pop duo/group performance. She wore a stunning custom Chanel outfit that day – a butter-hued dress made of chiffon with a chiffon hood and a black velvet belt, accessorized with a satin camellia and jeweled buttons. Her shoes and jewelry were also from Chanel. In other words, Gracie Abrams looked absolutely ethereal at the Grammys in an all-Chanel ensemble for the best pop duo/group performance nomination.

Charlotte Lawrence in Saint Laurent

At the event last night, Charlotte Lawrence stood out in a sleek and stylish ensemble. She donned a slim-strapped dress and cape made of silk crepe from Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. To make an even more striking impression, she accessorized with a long, extravagant Serpenti necklace from Bulgari, which was adorned with diamonds in 18-karat white gold.

Alicia Keys in Dolce & Gabbana

Alicia Keys chose the opulent extravagance of a grand corset belt and elaborate earring headpieces, both made from intricate gold filigree, which are signature pieces in Dolce & Gabbana’s 2024 Alta Moda Sardinia collection. She wore these over a black silk cady gown at the other end of the spectrum from casual simplicity.

Kelsea Ballerini in Tamara Ralph Couture

Last night, I was among the shining stars at an event, and Kelsea Ballerini, a Grammy nominee for best country duo/group performance, truly stole the show. She dazzled in a beaded minidress from Tamara Ralph’s Autumn/Winter 2024-25 Couture collection, featuring a deep-V neckline that added an extra touch of glamour. To complete her look, she wore an ivory silk-taffeta wrap and accessorized with Christian Louboutin’s Kate Max pumps and jewels by Jared Atelier. I couldn’t help but be impressed!

Charli XCX in Jean Paul Gaultier

Ludovic de Saint Sernin was the featured designer for the Jean Paul Gaultier high fashion show that took place in Paris on January 29th. Following the show’s “shipwreck” motif, Charlie XCX donned a striking blue-grey dress from the collection. This gown boasted a deep corset encompassed by over 230 meters of hand-torn tulle. To complete her ensemble, the “Brat” singer opted for open-toed boots and jewelry adorned with yellow and white diamonds provided by Bucherer Fine Jewellery.

Shaboozey in custom Diesel

In a trend where most men chose simple black or ivory tuxedos, Shaboozey made a bold statement at the 2025 Grammys with a unique glen-plaid leather double-breasted jacket and matching fringed scarf, both custom designs by Diesel. He accessorized his outfit with Jacob & Co.’s Ashoka Diamond Boutique Watch and De Beers Jewelry’s Lotus Diamond Brooch. Impressively, he was nominated for five awards that evening.
