Blake Lively Faces $7 Million Defamation Lawsuit from PR Firm in Explosive Legal Battle!

Currently, it’s being discussed who is now facing legal action in the ongoing dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, known as the “It Ends With Us” case. To clarify things, at this moment, Blake Lively is the one being sued. This lawsuit comes from a crisis PR firm that she had named in her civil rates complaint against Baldoni.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jed Wallace and his company, Street Relations Inc., are taking legal action against Blake Lively. This comes after Lively named Wallace and his company alongside Baldoni in a civil complaint which alleged sexual harassment and a smear campaign during the promotion of “It Ends With Us”. In his lawsuit, Wallace claims that Lively falsely implicated him and Street Relations Inc. in her accusations against Baldoni and then shared this information with media outlets. However, Lively did not name Wallace or his company in the sexual harassment suit she filed after the civil complaint. Wallace argues that media outlets ran a story suggesting he was involved, and he is now seeking $7 million in damages for the harm caused.

In the lawsuit, it’s claimed that Wallace asserts Lively didn’t halt her actions there. Further, he alleges that the actress requested a judge to allow a deposition from Wallace, but mislabeled him as a subcontractor of TAG, a firm which, according to Lively’s legal team, was used to undermine her unfairly in a social retaliation campaign. As a result of these actions, Wallace claims he has suffered significant damage to his reputation worth millions and his company stands to lose even more.

Blake Lively’s Legal Team Has Already Addressed the Lawsuit

If Lively and her team appear unfazed by the recent lawsuit, it’s not immediately evident. In a statement, Lively’s legal team described the lawsuit as “another day, another state, another nine-figure lawsuit aimed at suing Ms. Lively ‘out of existence’ for standing up against sexual harassment and retaliation.” Lively has maintained focus on the alleged sexual harassment she experienced during the filming of It Ends With Us and the subsequent smear campaign that ensued as the movie was being promoted. Regardless of your stance, it’s clear that Lively is following proper legal procedures to address these issues, while others are attempting to use public opinion to their advantage. Lively’s legal team seems optimistic about this latest lawsuit, suggesting they welcome it as an opportunity to demonstrate accountability on the part of Wallace and his company as well.

This action isn’t merely a publicity move; it’s an open response to the sexual harassment and retaliation claims made by Ms. Lively, which she filed with the California Civil Rights Department. Although this lawsuit may get dropped, we are glad that Mr. Wallace is now stepping out of hiding, and he too will face accountability in a federal court.

Shortly following Wallace’s announcement of his legal action, Chip Babcock – a partner at the Texas law firm representing both Wallace and his business – issued a statement detailing reasons behind the lawsuit. A significant aspect revolved around Lively allegedly involving Wallace and his company in a situation that Babcock thinks they should not be associated with.

“Blake Lively made unfounded allegations towards the press via a confidential court filing, accusing Mr. Wallace and Street Relations of sexual harassment, retaliation, assisting others in similar actions, breaching a contract with her, and participating in other questionable behavior. However, it’s important to note that Mr. Wallace, who values privacy above all, has never had any encounter or conversation with Ms. Lively. This lawsuit, aimed at safeguarding himself and his family, was instigated after Ms. Lively not only initiated legal action against him in Texas but also expressed intentions to involve him in another lawsuit.
