Whoopi Goldberg recently informed her followers about a fraudulent weight loss advertisement on Instagram that misused her image. In her own words, this ad employed artificial intelligence to peddle a medication she doesn’t endorse or take.
Goldberg warned everyone this morning on ‘The View’,” he said. “A fake weight loss advertisement, featuring an AI-generated version of me making various claims, is being circulated online, including on Instagram.”

Goldberg cautioned viewers of ‘The View’ this morning, stating that a false weight loss ad has been shared across the internet, including Instagram. This ad uses AI technology to create a fake version of myself making all sorts of claims.
Goldberg assured the audience that she only endorses products by saying something like, “It’s me, Whoopi,” which is a clear sign that it’s truly her.
Despite not specifying the specific drug, Goldberg pointed out that the advertisement appeared to incorporate footage of her from CBS News Sunday Morning and combined it with other elements.
I strongly advise against engaging with it,” I emphasized. “Better yet, discard it entirely, as I’m unsure of its origin. I have no connection to it whatsoever, and I don’t want you to assume that it originates from me.
Goldberg later mentioned that she had previously disclosed details about her weight loss journey, unveiling in March 2024 that she was utilizing the drug called Mounjaro for this purpose.
Goldberg expressed his concerns about AI, stating, ‘It’s tricky because you can’t always identify its creators, but let me warn you, there’s a lot of nonsense associated with it. Stay vigilant and don’t get deceived.’
Goldberg shared insights into her weight loss journey following Oprah Winfrey’s ABC Special titled “Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution,” a sequel to Winfrey’s disclosure about utilizing a weight loss medication herself.
As for my weight loss journey, I’ve found that Ozempic (Mounjaro) has been a game-changer for me. It’s been my secret weapon all along.
During a conversation with her fellow panelists, Goldberg expressed her views on viewing obesity as a medical issue that requires treatment. She emphasized, “It’s about the way we care for ourselves.
