After a harrowing month marked by a stabbing incident, I had the privilege of making my initial public appearance at the Next on Netflix event. There, I showcased the tantalizing teaser for my upcoming project, Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, accompanied by my esteemed co-star, Jaideep Ahlawat. During a recent interview with HT, he spoke highly of my resilience and tenacity in the face of skepticism regarding my swift recovery. In his own words, “I am well aware that he is still healing. Regarding the commendations for Saif Ali Khan’s rapid recovery, Jaideep Ahlawat confirmed that he was indeed aware of Saif’s injuries, as he had observed the scars personally. He then applauded Saif’s commitment, pointing out that the actor demonstrated an admirable attitude and promptly resumed work without any delay, prioritizing his professional obligations.
At the recent event, Saif Ali Khan made an appearance with a cast on his arm and a bandage around his neck. This is because he suffered six injuries, including two severe wounds, during an attack by an intruder at his home last month. He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital for five days following the incident, undergoing two surgeries during that time. His public outing occurred only a week after his release from the hospital.
During the gathering, Saif Ali Khan conveyed his joy at attending, explaining that it was a wonderful sensation to be in front of the crowd. He also spoke about his enthusiasm for the movie, revealing that he and Siddharth have talked about this project for quite some time.
Saif shared that he’d long dreamt of starring in a heist flick, feeling grateful to have Jaideep Ahlawat as his co-actor. He affectionately tapped him on the shoulder as he praised Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, expressing his ongoing excitement for the project. This movie is being produced by Siddharth and Mamta Anand under their production company, Marflix.
Previously, Jaideep Ahlawat teamed up with Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan’s wife, for the Netflix film titled Jaane Jan. More recently, you might have spotted him in the second installment of Paatal Lok, a critically praised series airing on Amazon Prime Video. In the near future, he is set to appear in The Family Man season 3 alongside Manoj Bajpayee.
