Finally, the long-awaited Super Bowl Sunday has arrived! As a movie critic, I can’t help but feel a thrill in the air – football enthusiasts and music lovers alike are eagerly anticipating whether the Kansas City Chiefs will create history with a third consecutive win when they take to the field on Super Bowl LIX. Yet, it’s not just the game that has me buzzing; I can hardly contain my excitement for the commercials!
Remember the hilarious Bud Light ads featuring Shane Gillis and Post Malone in their “Big Men on Cul-de-Sac” campaign? Now imagine Peyton Manning stepping into the scene, donning his famous jorts. Well, that’s just one of the many reasons I can’t wait to see what this year’s Super Bowl has in store for us!
Before the highly anticipated match, showcasing advertisements ranging from Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson reenacting E.T., to a Mountain Dew ad starring Seal as a CGI seal, the two-time Super Bowl Champion (and legendary Saturday Night Live host) humorously explained his participation in the commercial, causing me endless laughter: I can’t help but chuckle at his fitting response!
I effortlessly slipped into the popular crowd’s part when I discovered that my tasks would involve barbecuing steaks, enjoying Bud Lights, and socializing with Post Malone and Shane Gillis.
The idea that a Pro Football Hall of Famer would star in one of the biggest Super Bowl ads, because he was invited to barbecue steaks with Shane Gills and Post Malone, is quite amusing. However, just like Manning demonstrated in the popular “United Way” SNL digital short, this former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback has a knack for humor, even if it means poking fun at himself. So, try not to chuckle when Manning appears in his quirky outfit towards the end of the advertisement: “dad jorts”.
It seems that the jeans similar to John Cena’s were the ones that clinched the deal for Post Malone, as he himself mentioned in the advertisement.
What’s the perfect way to express my excitement about being part of my fourth Bud Light Super Bowl commercial? Simply put, I’m thrilled! From working alongside Shane and using leaf blowers to toss Bud Lights, to having Peyton in jorts – it’s always a blast!
1) The “Big Men on Cul-de-Sac” advertisement is fantastic, and it carries on a tradition of outstanding Bud Light commercials for major sporting events. Before Manning arrives, he challenges Post Malone and Shane Gillis to fit as many Bud Lights into their pet dog, when they bring in their smoker that trims grass and pulls what appears to be the largest cooler ever recorded in history.

2) The “Big Men on Cul-de-Sac” ad is terrific, continuing a streak of superb Bud Light commercials for big games. Before Manning arrives, he poses a question to Post Malone and Shane Gillis about how many Bud Lights can be stuffed into their dog when they bring in their smoker that mows grass and pulls what seems to be the biggest cooler ever recorded.
Both options maintain the original meaning while using simpler and more natural language.

Tom Brady and Snoop Dogg unveiled a Super Bowl commercial carrying an anti-hate message, but the online reaction may not have been what they had hoped for.
At my place recently, I had Taylor Swift’s collaborator Malone enter with two leaf blowers in hand, while Tim Taylor from Home Improvement would have surely admired the unique vehicle that Gillis was driving – a mower/smoker hybrid. To put it simply, the invitations to this neighborhood party were exceptional, making them the best I’ve ever come across. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac, and I’m seriously considering using my leaf blower as a makeshift beer cannon to extend party invites to my neighbors when I throw my next big bash.
Don’t forget to catch the Super Bowl LIX matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, airing on Fox at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight, live from Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. If you can’t watch it live, don’t worry – TopMob will ensure you don’t miss any of the action or commercials! Additionally, you can also catch the game for free on Tubi.
