BEAMS PLUS, a renowned Japanese clothing label, and Sperry, an iconic American shoe manufacturer, have joined forces for a joint project focusing on footwear and apparel. This collaboration celebrates their mutual love for the timeless boating aesthetics that flourished in the 60s and 70s.
The heart of this collaboration revolves around the timeless silhouette of Sperry’s 1935-originated Circular Vamp Oxford (CVO) design. “This partnership with Sperry is a testament to our enduring relationship and a jubilee for their 90th anniversary!” said Hideki Mizobata, Director of BEAMS PLUS, in a statement. “Sperry has been instrumental in Ivy Style, Prep Style, and BEAMS PLUS, and we’re deeply appreciative of their unwavering support and loyal fanbase.

The updated CVO design comes paired with a clothing line featuring fabrics reminiscent of past eras, such as outerwear, pants, sweaters, shorts, graphic tees, and caps from Quaker Marine Supply. The patterns include a weathered blue-and-white nautical design on a matching jacket and shorts, along with traditional sailor stripes that match the shoe color schemes. Throughout the collection, vibrant shades of coral, aqua, and yellow create an atmosphere reminiscent of an East Coast summer.
The Sperry x BEAMS PLUS Nylon CVO is scheduled to be launched on February 13, 2025. This collaboration will be available at BEAMS PLUS stores across Japan, selected specialty retailers globally, and both the Sperry and BEAMS online stores. Additionally, the temporary NYC BEAMS PLUS LIMITED STORE located at 199 Mulberry St will carry this release from February 13 to February 28 as well.
