Why And How Was Serena Williams Involved In Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show?

It was quite unexpected to see Serena Williams perform at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime show, given that she retired in 2022 and usually stays out of the limelight. However, after moving on and marrying Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams apparently didn’t mind joining Kendrick Lamar onstage as a show of solidarity in what seemed like a clear message to her ex.

Drake might triumph in some legal battles regarding defamation, but his halftime show will undoubtedly be remembered in pop culture lore. It seems safe to say that such confrontations wouldn’t be beneficial, more so since Serena Williams’ participation in the game underscores Lamar’s willingness to deliver pointed jabs personally.
