Initially labeled a box office disappointment, it’s now receiving an outpouring of affection. The charismatic lead actor, Harshvardhan Rane, who left home at 16, has shared his journey, acknowledging that he never had the luxury to rest on his laurels. In fact, even for this release, he personally took charge of everything, as neither his team nor anyone else stepped up to the plate.
In a conversation with Movified, Harshvardhan Rane opened up about his life story, explaining that at the age of 16, he left home knowing the road ahead would be tough. He acknowledged that departing from home meant assuming personal responsibility and realizing that life is not about waiting for things to become easier. The actor underscored his determination to keep moving forward, whether for another 9, 18, or even 27 years, consistently aiming for greater accomplishments.
He also mentioned, “I originate from a location where I can’t afford to grumble. I can’t afford to unwind and think ‘someone else will take care of it’. No one is around but myself. I was the only one who had to step up to let go. No one from my team showed up.
Harshvardhan went on to say that no matter if he’s in the wilderness or elsewhere, he manages everything independently – from preparing his own meals, cleaning up, to whatever it takes to stay alive. He’s prepared to continue doing so multiple times over whenever needed.
Under the guidance of directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the movie Sanam Teri Kasam has been consistently drawing crowds at the box office, outshining fresh arrivals such as Loveyapa and Badass Ravi Kumar. Featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in the lead roles, this film managed to earn over 260 million rupees during its initial week, significantly exceeding its initial 2016 Indian revenue of 80 million rupees.
The film Sanam Teri Kasam, initially known for launching its main actors, has since earned a dedicated fanbase and achieved cult status. In its second run, it smashed its earlier box office record in merely two days.
