‘The Chosen’ Teams with Amazon for Season 5, Last Supper

The show inspired by the New Testament is preparing for the launch of a season, according to Executive Director Dallas Jenkins, said to be their most elaborate yet. This season concludes with the depiction of the Last Supper.

In ‘The Chosen’, we see Jonathan Roumie portray Jesus, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter, and Paras Patel as Matthew. Through multiple seasons, each disciple’s character has been skillfully crafted, creating a rich backstory that intensifies the lead-up to the Last Supper with great impact.

The series predominantly unfolds in Jerusalem, yet it’s known for interweaving scenes that connect various biblical events throughout different eras.

In this agreement, Amazon additionally acquires distribution privileges for Seasons Six and Seven of the series. These seasons are set to depict, in turn, the events of the crucifixion and the resurrection.

5&2 Studios, led by Jenkins, is looking forward to developing more programs besides their main show, all of which are part of the Amazon MGM collaboration.
