Following its “City Above Self” release, BORN X RAISED has unveiled another collaboration for this month, this time teaming up with Shinsuke Takizawa’s NEIGHBORHOOD. This partnership seamlessly blends the disparate streetwear cultures of Southern California and Harajuku, creating a harmonious fusion that reflects both fashion landscapes.
The primary design for the partnership is modeled after a memorabilia jacket; this unique piece skillfully blends retro aesthetics with modern urban fashion trends while incorporating Japanese cultural elements. Dressed in an elegant monochrome black, the jacket features an embroidered bird symbol – esteemed for its representation of both grace and guardianship within Japanese culture – on one side, accompanied by stylish BORN X RAISED and NEIGHBORHOOD branding.
In another area, a sleek, dark-colored zip-up sweatsuit follows the characteristics of a bird in its style, and as a fitting touch for BORN X RAISED, a co-branded cap brings everything together at the end.
As a passionate follower of fashion, I can’t contain my excitement as more glimpses into the upcoming BORN X RAISED x NEIGHBORHOOD collaboration are set to be unveiled later this week. For now, feast your eyes on the initial sneak peek in the gallery above, before it hits the shelves at BORN X RAISED stores on Thursday, February 20, and graces their online platform on Friday, February 21.
