Pokémon Go Tour Unova: Everything you need to know

Niantic has shared fresh insights about the forthcoming Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, a worldwide in-person event starting from February 21. Expect limited-time accessories for your avatar, fresh tunes reminiscent of Unova, and thrilling Field Research tasks, promising an unforgettable experience for all Pokemon enthusiasts.

If you plan to participate in this event, here is everything you should know beforehand.

Event locations and schedule

Beginning next year, from February 21 to 23, 2025, we have an in-person event planned in both Los Angeles and Taipei City. The cost per ticket is set at $30, which you can purchase directly on the Pokémon GO Tour website.

For American spectators, the Rose Bowl Stadium is where the event will take place. The New Taipei Metropolitan Park has been chosen as the location for the event happening in Taiwan.

Niantic is additionally encouraging a community engagement initiative which features gatherings during the event. At these gatherings, participants can interact with well-known creators and influencers from the Pokémon Go community, as well as take part in organized group activities.

Absolutely, not everyone can make it to a live event, so Niantic is introducing the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova Global. This event takes place on March 1 and 2, 2025, and allows trainers everywhere to join in from their own hometowns.

There will be exclusive spawns, legendary Unova Pokémon raid battles, and special research tasks.

Black Kyurem and White Kyurem fusion making their debut

For quite some time now, the fusions of Kyurem have been absent from Pokémon GO, but now they’ve made their long-awaited appearance! This is an entirely fresh fusion system for Pokémon. To convert Kyurem into potent forms, you will require Volt Fusion Energy and Blaze Fusion Energy, which can be obtained by overcoming Black or White Kyurem in five-star raids.

Event badges and Special Research Task

Training coaches are given a unique research mission, where they must decide whether to side with Reshiram or Zekrom. This decision influences the distinctive badge they will receive and grants special backgrounds to the selected Pokémon.

Choosing Reshiram will display a background reminiscent of Pokémon Black, while opting for Zekrom will show a theme similar to Pokémon White.

Tour Passes

For this year’s Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event, they’ve introduced something fresh – the Tour Pass. Instead of standard bonuses being handed out like in previous events, trainers now have the opportunity to earn improved rewards and benefits by actively participating in the event.

1. The admission ticket for the tour is complimentary for all visitors.

2. Trainers can accumulate Tour Points by participating in activities such as capturing Pokémon, engaging in battles, and fulfilling missions.

The Tour Pass Deluxe, which costs $14.99, is a paid upgrade that offers extra perks.
