David Leitch, director of the “Fall Guy” movie, along with his production company 87North, is joining forces with Amazon Studios (MGM) and Imagine Entertainment to orchestrate the ultimate heist of the century.
David Leitch, known for directing fast-paced films like the heist thriller Bullet Train, Deadpool 2, and last year’s action-packed romantic adventure Fall Guy, has secured a new untitled crime action thriller from Amazon. This film is being anticipated as his next project.
Leitch is set to collaborate with his wife and producing partner, Kelly McCormick, under the 87North banner, as well as with Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, and Allan Mandelbaum from Imagine.

It seems that Amazon, along with Imagine and 87North, are carefully guarding the specifics of their upcoming project. However, it’s been revealed that Mark Bianculli is responsible for penning the script. Sources at The Hollywood Reporter suggest that the narrative revolves around a clever gang of bank robbers who leverage social media to chronicle their crimes, engaging in a game of hide-and-seek with law enforcement. Over the course of more than ten years, Bianculli and Imagine have reportedly been refining this project.
The upcoming project further strengthens our ongoing partnership with Imagine. Previously, we collaborated on “After the Hunt,” featuring Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield, which is currently in post-production for an October 10th cinema release, and last year released a documentary titled “Frida“, focusing on artist Frida Kahlo.
In a different context:
Bianculli, who is also serving as an executive producer, was one of the co-creators and executive producers for the NBC series “Lincoln Rhyme: The Hunt for the Bone Collector,” where Russell Hornsby and Ariel Kebbel played the main roles. He has previously worked as a writer and consulting producer in Amazon’s Nazi-hunting show “Hunters” and recently contributed to the medical drama “Doc” on Fox. On the big screen, Bianculli is penning the upcoming reboot of “Cliffhanger,” directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, starring Pierce Brosnan and Lily James.
Bianculli is by WME, The Framework Collective, and attorney Dean Bahat at Ziffren Brittenham.
87North has just released the action movie “Love Hurts”, starring Ke Huy Quan, and they’re preparing to debut “Nobody 2” in cinemas from August 15. Leitch is represented by CAA and JSSK.)
