The eagerly awaited Netflix thriller Mandala Murders, featuring Vaani Kapoor, is planned for a 2025 premiere. According to recent updates, director Gopi Puthran and his crew have resumed filming despite wrapping up the main production earlier this year. They’ve been back on set since last week, shooting fresh footage to polish and revise specific scenes based on recommendations from the editing team.
According to a well-placed insider, the production team at Mid-day revealed that the Yash Raj series titled “Mandala Murders,” starring Vaani Kapoor as a detective solving a series of murders, is an ambitious undertaking brimming with high-octane action and complex narration. As they’ve been refining the project during the editing phase, they’ve decided that certain scenes needed adjustments to increase the suspense and richness of the thriller.
This year, during the editing phase of the show, the creators and editors believed that specific sections required refinement to heighten the suspense and drama in the crime thriller. As a result, it was decided to revise those sections and incorporate new scenes.
The source added that during the last phase of shooting at Madh Island, they’re concentrating on crucial scenes that help tie the intricate storylines together. With only a week left for filming, their goal is to finalize these important sequences first, before declaring the project complete.
In “Mandala Murders,” Vaani Kapoor makes her entrance into extended narrative storytelling, with Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Jameel Khan, and Surveen Chawla playing significant roles. This series unfolds as detectives Rea Thomas and Vikram Singh delve into the chilling enigma of ritualistic murders linked to a clandestine society that has prospered for centuries within the mysterious village of Charandaspur.
