Must-Watch Streaming Hits: 6 New Shows and Movies to Catch This Week!

This week marks the close of February and the beginning of March, which means it’s time once more for our regular content reshuffle! With Netflix, Hulu, and other top streaming services constantly updating their offerings, it feels like staying on top of new movies and series is a task in itself. It’s almost as if tracking these changes is a job by itself!

Fortunately, we’ve got TopMob to help keep things organized for us! This week brings a fresh comedy series on Netflix and an ongoing one on Disney+ in the comedy realm. However, this week is mainly focused on movies. There are some must-watch theatrical releases that have recently been added, while the annual red-carpet event marking the pinnacle of the film industry is also just around the corner.

Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy – February 25 (Peacock)

As a dedicated film enthusiast, I was left reeling by the unexpected passing of Matthew Perry. A gripping new documentary delves deeply into the events leading up to the tragic, apparently accidental demise of this talented actor.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves – February 26 (Netflix)

I’ll always voice my displeasure over the lack of recognition Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves received. This film was an exceptional blend of action and comedy, showcasing the finest aspects of D&D without demanding prior knowledge about the game. With its availability on Netflix, maybe more people will watch it, leading to the creation of the sequel that the world yearns for.

Running Point – February 27 (Netflix)

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the talented Kate Hudson steps into her initial leading role on the small screen with the TV series titled Running Point. This hilarious tale has me intrigued as it follows Hudson’s character, an underperforming daughter who unexpectedly takes charge as President of her family’s professional basketball team.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place – February 28 (Disney+)

Back in the day, I was completely captivated by the magical world of “Wizards of Waverly Place” on Disney Channel – it was one of their most beloved original series during their golden era. Now, both old and new fans can rejoice as we’re about to uncover the next 12 episodes of the spin-off series, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” which Selena Gomez has taken on as executive producer.

97th Oscars – March 2 (Hulu)

This year’s Academy Awards mark the most significant event in Hollywood, but recently, it has become challenging to appreciate movies during the ceremony if you lack conventional television access. However, for the first time ever, the Oscars will be broadcast live, provided that you subscribe to Hulu streaming service.

Jurassic World: Dominion (Extended Version) – March 2 (Peacock)

2025 is expected to feature Jurassic World: Rebirth as one of its major releases, making it an ideal time to familiarize yourself with the series if you haven’t yet. Starting this week, a Peacock subscription will grant you access to both the theatrical and extended version of Jurassic World: Dominion, which has been off Universal’s platform for some time.

Coming up next week is a significant period for streaming services, marked by the debut of “Daredevil: Born Again“. Consider signing up for Disney+ in advance if you’re not already a subscriber to catch this highly-anticipated release.
