If you’re a fan of “Supernatural,” but haven’t yet delved into “The Boys” on Amazon Prime, now could be an excellent opportunity to do so! As Jensen Ackles has taken on the role of Soldier Boy, a character reminiscent of Captain America, in Season 3 of “The Boys,” it’s been announced that he will be joined by his “Supernatural” companions during the fifth and final season, which is now being filmed. Ackles shared this exciting news with his former “Supernatural” co-stars, making for an unmissable moment.
The official Instagram account for “The Boys” left Supernatural fans surprised when they shared a video of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, hinting that there’s work ahead for them. Take a look:

Jared Padelecki sweetly answers Ackles’ call in the video by saying he’s gotta “tell Misha,” as in Misha Collins, a.k.a. Castiel. Collins ends the post in the best way possible by answering and asking “What are we doing?” before The Boys logo pops up. It’s the best tease you could give to confirm that the entire trio from Supernatural will all reunite in the final season of The Boys. And the Instagram reactions were so on point. Check it:
- “SORRY WHAT???” – @ashmillmann
- “The winchester BOYS” – @ananthh.8
- “Screaming. Giggling. Kicking my feet.” – @tommi.night
- “It’s a great day to be a Supernatural fan, thank you @theboystv 😭✨” – @caitlinchristinee
- “this is more like supernatural s16 to me” – @faezce
- “Transition between S5 boys and Supernatural s 16 would be crazy” – @nightmaretox
If you’ve been keeping up with “The Boys,” it might not come as a shock to you. The show was orchestrated by Eric Kripke, who is also known for creating “Supernatural.” Given that he collaborated extensively with Ackles and Padalecki on the CW series for quite some time, they’re practically like kin. It’s no wonder then, that after Ackles landed the role of Soldier Boy, he made an effort to bring Padalecki into the mix.
Enthusiasts of “Supernatural” are delighted because Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who played key roles in that series, will be appearing jointly in the final season of “The Boys”. While specific details about their characters aren’t known yet, they are reported to have guest star roles according to Entertainment Weekly. Given that the creator of “Supernatural” is involved in this reunion, there’s a good chance we might see some witty, clever references to their earlier TV show in the new series.
After the happenings of Season 4, which saw Soldier Boy’s return, it’s only natural for Supernatural fans to anticipate that the three main actors might share intertwined storylines. Given that Soldier Boy will also have a spinoff series, as revealed at San Diego Comic-Con last year, could there be a chance they are laying the groundwork for yet another show featuring these characters? It’s an exciting thought! The Supernatural fandom would undoubtedly erupt with joy in the best way imaginable.
We’re unsure about the exact return date for the final season of “The Boys”, but we estimate it to be around 2026. With that said, we can’t wait for its arrival!
