How to get Fucium Ore in Monster Hunter Wilds

After advancing to a higher rank in Monster Hunter Wilds, one of your initial tasks will most likely involve locating Fucium Ore. This is crucial if you aspire to craft any of the intricate new weapons that Gemma the smithy has unlocked for you. You might find yourself questioning whether you’ve come across this material during Low Rank, and indeed, you haven’t because it’s exclusive to High Rank.

Regardless, you’ll have to acquire Fucium Ore for creating either the fifth Hope weapon or the third weapon from the Ore tree in Monster Hunter Wilds. Let me guide you on its location:

1. Head to the Ancient Forest area and search for a Barioth. Defeat it, then collect the Fucium Ore that drops.
2. Alternatively, explore the Coral Highlands. Look out for a Monoblos and defeat it to obtain Fucium Ore as well.
3. If you’re having trouble finding either of these monsters, consider using the SOS Flare or joining another player’s quest to increase your chances. Good luck!

Monster Hunter Wilds Fucium Ore location

In High Rank, after completing the main story and defeating the Yian Kut-Ku, you can extract Fucium Ore from mining outcrops within the Ruins of Wyveria. Since you won’t need this mineral to craft weapons at lower levels, it’s unlikely that you’d be searching for it in Low Rank before reaching High Rank.

In Monster Hunter Worlds, similar to previous games in the series, certain materials become accessible only upon reaching High Rank. However, you still mine them from the same locations as their Low Rank equivalents. Fucinum Ore is a good illustration; it’s a material that can only be obtained by mining outcrops within the Ruins of Wyveria once you progress to High Rank.

In Wyveria, mining outcrops are somewhat scarce, but you’ll discover a few of them. One is located by the Sild village entrance, another in area 1, two in area 5, and again two in area 8. Scattered about are additional individual ones. If you require more Fucium Ore than these locations provide, you can either wait for them to respawn or choose to rest at your tent and spend 300 Guild Points to reset them all simultaneously.

Fortunately, you don’t often need a large amount of Fucium Ore for crafting purposes, and it is not particularly scarce, which means you can obtain sufficient amounts with minimal difficulty.
