One aspect that might be easily overlooked while we’re engrossed in the latest TV shows airing on the 2025 schedule is the significance of guest roles for actors. In reality, many actors begin their careers by playing minor roles on television, with stars like Jennifer Lopez and Timothèe Chalamet being part of this group. For instance, Chalamet recently participated in a drinking game at the SAG Awards due to his earlier role in the Law & Order series, but it’s worth noting that long-running shows like NCIS have also hosted numerous prominent talents as guests.
Which Celebs Should Take A Drink For Appearing On NCIS?
You might wonder why this is a drinking game, but let me clarify that I’m merely continuing the tradition set by the talented Keke Palmer. At the Screen Actors Guild Awards in late February, she proposed a drinking game for the attendees, suggesting a drink whenever someone had ever appeared on Law & Order.
Everyone from Timothèe Chalamet to Zoe Saldaña, Colman Domingo, and the other presenters took a swig in response.
It’s worth noting that the NCIS franchise, having reached its 1,000th episode in April 2024, is quite adept at attracting both rising and established talents for its numerous guest roles. The original series kicked off in 2003 and has since led to five spinoffs (with NCIS: Tony & Ziva set to premiere soon), spanning over 22 years. This long-running history means there have likely been hundreds, if not thousands, of smaller roles to fill, and some celebrities have even landed their NCIS parts before they became famous.
To illustrate, the actor known as Glen Powell from the movie Twister took on the role of a Marine in episodes 6 and 7 during Season 10. Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things featured in the sixth episode of Season 12. Sterling K. Brown, who has acted in shows like This Is Us and Paradise, played an important part in Season 11, Episode 10, which aired in December 2013. Furthermore, Zac Efron, best known for his leading role in The Iron Claw, made an appearance in the thirteenth episode of the third season, just days before High School Musical debuted and catapulted him to stardom.
Many well-known personalities have made appearances in the series too, such as Lily Tomlin, Drew Carey, Jamie Lee Curtis, and even Michelle Obama. Therefore, it’s always exciting to watch your favorite shows, for you may find yourself surprised by the guest stars that make an appearance.
