Alia Bhatt’s ‘conscious’ decision about daughter Raha’s THIS habit made her mom Soni Razdan think if she was a ‘horrible mother’; here’s why

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are delighted parents to a three-year-old girl named Raha, born in 2022. Frequently, the couple speaks about their adorable child, with Alia recently disclosing her concern over Raha’s screen time usage. She also shared how this worry made her mother Soni Razdan feel like she might be a poor parent.

During a recent chat with Jay Shetty, Alia Bhatt recalled her childhood fascinations. She admitted, “I was captivated by the television. This is something that stands out in my memories from my youth. In fact, I often discuss this very topic with my mother now because she remarked, ‘Wow, I must have been a neglectful parent!’ Since I’m so mindful of my daughter’s screen time these days.

Actress from Love & War explained that currently, Raha doesn’t spend significant time on screen and avoids using an iPad. Yet, when watching songs on television, she makes sure to restrict viewing duration. She also recalled her mother Soni Razdan questioning, “Was I a bad mother because we just let you watch TV… it seemed normal at the time?

In response to this, Alia clarified that it wasn’t as simple as stated. Instead, television was still a novelty at that time. Regardless, the actress expressed her appreciation for her mother allowing her to spend time in front of the television. According to her, many of her dreams, fantasies, and imaginative journeys began there. She also noted that she enjoys dreaming and generating fresh ideas.

In her professional life, Alia Bhatt will soon appear alongside Sharvari in the film “Alpha.” This eagerly awaited action movie marks the first female-led production within the YRF Spy Universe, a project overseen by Aditya Chopra. The talented Shiv Rawail is at the helm as director, and the film is scheduled to hit theaters on Christmas 2025.

Beyond our current projects, I’m thrilled to share that I have another exciting venture coming up – a film titled Love & War from the creative mind of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This project marks a reunion with my beloved husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and my Raazi co-star, the incredibly talented Vicky Kaushal. We’re set to captivate audiences on the big screen next year, specifically on March 20, 2026. It’s an honor and a pleasure to be part of this remarkable journey.
