Lucky #19 Is Everything at Vivienne Westwood FW25

On day six of Paris Fashion Week, British fashion icon Vivienne Westwood made a bold statement at Pavillion Cabon. The event was graced by the presence of Ice Spice, Chappell Roan, and The Last Dinner Party on the Front Row, as they witnessed the unveiling of Andreas Kronthaler’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. Vivienne Westwood’s presentation urged attendees to “aim high and think big” with the lucky number 19. As a nod to Kronthaler’s 30-year tenure in London, Westwood infused energy into the runway while acknowledging his longstanding residency in the city.

Gentle piano melodies echoed through the space, bouncing from one wall to another, as they illuminated a catwalk raised 56 feet above the ground during FW25. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as Kronthaler paid tribute to his departed partner, showcasing seductive tailoring and striking plaid designs amidst his innovative take on winter clothing, including heavy winter coats, shimmering hoods, and leather tracksuits.

Soft piano tunes resonated throughout the venue, ricocheting from wall to wall, casting a spell over a 56-foot runway during FW25. The room was saturated with affection as Kronthaler honored his late companion, exhibiting alluring tailoring and bold plaid motifs alongside his unique twist on winter apparel, such as heavy coats, shimmering hoods, and leather tracksuits.

The show notes state: ‘Nothing is more appealing than a well-tailored suit!’ For the Fall/Winter 25 collection, Westwood’s signature tailoring was reimagined, with loose trousers being transformed into wool skirts featuring asymmetrical lining and long neckties. Hats came in pairs or even threes, coordinating with bold trench coats, textured knitwear, and extravagant fur ponchos.

Westwood’s designs flourish gracefully on garments made from velvet and tulle, emphasizing the figure with padded hips and shoulders for a rounded silhouette. Bold contrasting socks, furry heels, and birdcage bags add a touch of excitement to each ensemble, fostering a lively and carefree mood. The designer ended the show by taking a final bow, holding a bouquet of flowers which he tossed into the crowd in jubilation.
